Beach Palace Cancun Brides

Looks good to me! I'm looking forward to seeing your table and ceremony set up - sounds lovely.

I did the Cuncrawl for a friend's bachelorette and it was a blast. All I can say is request Luis if he is still working with them - your single girlfriends will thank you for it! haha

The only thing I would question is if that is enough time for pictures for you.  Also, sunset isn't til 8pm it looks like in May and your reception begins at 7pm. I think a lot of photographers say the best hour for pictures is the hour before sunset - not sure if this is a big deal for you or not, but something to think about :)

Great point, I was so excited about having a full moon that I didn't think about the sunset to be honest. I guess we can sneak away for a few minutes and try to get both in the pictures.

Hi!

I am having the Mexican Hors D'Oeuvres for the Cocktail and Buffect Mexicano for reception.

Side Note:

I am also having a playlist with no DJ. Do you have a playlist you created already?

Thank you!

-Kat :)

Hi Kat,

Over a year ago when I was just beginning to plan stuff I was like "I am going to start making the playlist now so I am not doing it all last minute" aaaaaand guess what....I am doing it all last minute!!! lol.  Thank god my sister is a kickass maid of honor and has been putting together an awesome mix of music for all the events.  This weekend we are planning to sit down and put all the songs in the playlists in some sort of order so that the music is a good mixture and builds to higher energy songs by the end.  We are not doing shuffle because I feel like it might get stuck on a bunch of similar songs and then someone shuffles the mix or messes with something it will repeat a ton of songs.

do the cuncrawl!!!!!!!!!!!!! We did that for my bachelorette party and it was a blast!  8 of us went! Request Jorge if you can! :)

Ladies,

35 days to go and I feel like I still have so much undone. So, here is what I have so far:

May 12th- Bachelorette cocktails on the Infinity Terrace from 8pm -10pm and then looking into CunCrawl

May 13th- Welcome Dinner ( family arrives this day) Infinity Terrace from 7pm- 10pm - Mexican Buffett- Ipod Deck for Music (keeping it simple) might give our welcome bags here since I was told, they can't already put them in the rooms prior to arrival

May 14th- Wedding Day- Ceremony at the Roof  Top Sky Terrace at 4:30pm ( flowers from Maya and then transferring them for my centerpieces) Ipod for the Music, chandelier, aisle runner, fans

Cocktail Hour - from 6PM -7PM -Sky Terrace ( I know my group takes a lot of pictures so I didn't want to rush anyone to get to the cocktail)

Reception: 7pm - 10pm in the Palenque terrace, Italian  ( I extended an hour)

Music from PSAV

Flowers from Maya

Tiffany Chairs

White Silk Tablecloths

Photo booth

lighting under the tables

paper lanterns

I'm doing my own make -up since that's what I do for a living and I'm debating to get my hair done at the hotel. It's so humid it would probably fall in seconds if I try anything.

anything I could be missing?

Sounds so awesome!! :)  I feel the same way about having so much undone! I did just had my phone meeting with Renee and feel so much better.  She is sending me an email with everything we talked about to confirm that the details are correct. Feels good to have the plan layed out with the hotel now and not just in my planning binder! haha

Were you able to get them to confirm that there will not be any nightly entertainment down near the Infinity Deck during your events?   I had originally had my welcome dinner planned there for May 7 when we all arrive but when talking with Renee she mentioned that I have to wait until about 10 days before the event to know the entertainment schedule.  Since the pool deck is a public area the nightly event schedule goes on no matter what events are planned down there.

Please post pics of your weddings, May girls! Especially interested in seeing how you utilize the space for your receptions and how you design your tables :). I am debating between having it at the Sky deck or Palenque terrace but it will prob. depend on our numbers!

I just googled pics of Jorge and oh my. All I can is this company definitely hires a specific type of host haha. We had Luis 2 years ago and he was fantastic as well. My gfs are already requesting that we do the Cuncrawl again :)

Haha yes not only is he easy on the eyes but he def made sure we had a good time! I loved that he counted all 8 of us up and acted like our bodyguard before switching to a different club!! So are mine- I may be a little biased since it was my bachelorette party but it was def the most fun bachelorette party I've ever been to!! :)

Hi-

Great Idea! I was thinking of something similar. A playlist for the cocktail hour, while guests are eating, and a dancing playlist.

Sure sending it now. What date are you getting married in December? And are you at the BP? I'm right now trying to finalize everything, but we're running into all of these obstacles! We're looking at the 16 or 17th right now

I got it, thanks! We're getting married on the 13th. I booked last November.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
