It isn't a restaurant but it's a little spot kind of on the side of the main pool (I think).. here are some pics..

@@jessiker05 I know exactly where this is. It is adjacent to the main pool. You can see part of the pool on the other side of the columns. I believe the windows opposite the columns are a restaurant. It's pretty spot and it looks great in the pix with the receptions set up.

Thank you! We danced down the aisle to Bruno Mars "Marry You" and then back up the aisle to "Happy" :) We wanted to just enjoy every minute and we did!

I have to say, I love how colorful your wedding was! I bet your hubby was very happy he got to wear shorts, mine wanted to but I wouldn't let him :)

I'm glad you did :) like I said I was sooo nervous but by the time we had the reception I was ready to let loose. Can't wait to see your video :)

Thanks!! I didn't have a theme just wanted bright colors. Thankfully it all worked out. Haha shorts were always a must have. They would have died otherwise. Even the BMs in their dresses were soaking wet. It was a hot day!

@@vancouverpetunia yeah, I don't think I'd want to have a dinner there, but cocktail hour should be fine, I hope! Might be a little awkward depending on how well my guests and the pool-goers can see each other lol..

That part of pool was almost always empty while we were there - everyone is around the bar and gazebo at the other end so you are fine on that.  The only thing that might be a little annoying is on the beach side of that terrace is the hostess station for the BlueWater Grille and there is a bar there also for people waiting to be seated.  If your wedding is on a night that the BlueWater is closed, it won't be a problem but if it's open, then people will be around and your view of the beach/water might be a bit blocked.  Since it's only for cocktail hour and people are walking around anyway I'm sure it will be fine, and the will sort of block it off so people won't be walking through or anything.

@@calgarybride2015 - It was hot, and my hubby's shirt was completely soaked by the end of the night, but we snuck down to the beach a couple of times where we had a great breeze and cooled off.  Your bright colors worked out beautifully!!

@@JaxBchKay Awesome pictures! Looks like it was a perfect day! You looked gorgeous - I love your dress! I'm also using turquoise as my colors.. I love how your table was setup, did you bring all the little candles? Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much!  I had the second dress just for dinner and dancing which was nice and I twisted my hair into a bun so it was cooler :)

I brought a ton of the decor with me, the little blue candle holders, the shell candle holders, the table runners, chair sashes, the candles, a few vases, etc. etc.  So I have 3 dozen turquoise candle holders and battery operated candles.  I'm willing to sell some of them if you are interested, along with chair sashes and table runners :)

Hmm, I see you're located in Florida.. I'm in Nova Scotia - might end up costing me more by the time I ship everything! Plus, I do feel, however, that your colors are a bit on the blue side, where mine are a bit more on the green side of turquoise! Thanks for the offer though! :)

My fiance is an attorney. If you have it in writing that you've got that space, then that's a contract. She broke it. They need to do WAAAAAAY more than just give you some sort of compensation - which I assume wouldn't be anything significant. Honestly, you could probably take her to small claims court and sue. I'm not a very drastic person but when it comes to something like your wedding, it's something worth considering.

Have you been in touch with anyone at the resort? You should've been introduced to your wedding coordinator. You should've also gotten a more detailed contract directly from the resort.

I'm getting married at the Now Sapphire on September 14 and I'm curious about how other brides did their bachelorette parties?

I'm a little bit nervous about having all my girls leaving the resort and getting drunk. Did any of you stay on the resort for your bachelorette?

I'm open to suggestions! Thanks!

@@jeffandrobyn Destinantionwedding.com got back to us today saying they would give us $150 credit towards our room contract. They are saying that the original form I sent them with my request of time, locations and date they were not able to open. Going back it does look like it was done on my mac using a program called pages, so if she didn't have an apple computer or phone it wouldn't have opened. Regardless what would make her think that she should just go ahead and make the decision on when and where I would want to have my wedding! And then a week later when I asked her point blank, did I get the time, date, and locations I requested would she say absolutely.  At that moment she should have said she never opened the form and didn't know what I requested.  Ahhh it is SOO frustrating dealing with them. I really wanted to believe that she would finally apologize for her mistake and make it right. I feel like a wedding travel agency site like destination wedding.com don't even care about their customer services because most likely the people they screw over will never be getting married again, and have no use for them again.

@@cvooys - I will likely do something at home, a few weeks before we leave. We'll already have 2 pretty full days with our guests (wedding and excursion), and I figure they may want some time on their own as well, so I don't want to plan too many events. Plus we may have some people who can't come to Mexico but would like to come to the bachelorette party.

I had my bachelorette party at home about a month before we left for Mexico.  That way I got to include ladies that weren't able to come on the trip.  It was also better because we didn't have to worry about leaving the resort and spending money in another country.  My hubby and his best man did go into Cancun one evening and he said that he wouldn't not have wanted me to go with my girls alone.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
