Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

I would talk with Rachel because Del Sol and La Luna seem to have a different working relationship with the palace resorts and they should be able to guide you.

Coco, I am working with Michelle Farinas via my TA destinationweddings.com.

this was the email I received

Hi Camille,

Iâ€m not able to write in their contract that they could use outside vendors, however, I could put it in writing for them in an email.

The bride and groom are allowed to bring a photographer from home as long as they stay at the resort or if they decide to use a photographer from Cancun they will need to purchase a wedding day pass for him.

Thank you!

Kindest Regards,

krsmith,

Del Sol and therefore La Luna should be fine.  In reading several threads here I believe that this is one vendor who navigated it all for their folks at Moon.  Call your photog they should be fine though.  It's seems from the 2011 thread (latter part) that a few are having problems with outside vendors.  I can only imagine that they try to be more strict as us 2012 folks come along.  However; I think (from reading) that the MP coordinator is the person to really get things going... hopefully this will be the case for my DJ.

Hi Ladies,

Have any of you done luggage tags? I'm doing these for my STD's that I wanted to send out this week but am having a hard time figuring out what to put on them...monogram initials or a cute picture? Just want to have something that'll get the guests excited and ready to book lol

I just messaged a bride who recently used an outside photographer at a palace resort.  She did not tell them beforehand and just put them on the guest list and paid for their day passes and it worked out well so I think that's what we will be doing!

Beatyea,

That's the one thing I won't chance especially with the inconsistency of MP & the Miami Coordiators.  And although this may work for photogs I doubt it will work for the DJ LOL  shots.gif

Ok Ladies,

There are two in house DJ's and they are JSAV (Carlos) and PSAV (Mauricio).  Edith from MP (after being forwarded an email from my Miami Coordinator) kindly reminded me that "per your contract their are no outside vendors."  Needless to say I'm not smiling at Edith at all.  However; she did cc both of these gentlemen my information.  PSAV emailed me with is package in a pdf format.

              DJ services are as follows:

Option 1                           Option 2
2 hours for $926.96            4 hours at $1086.69

                Gold Package

       4 hours of a DJ + lighting

                 $1282.00

IPOD set-up to four hours: 2-40 people $231.90 and for 45-100 people $366.30

I haven't received anything from JSAV which I think is the one that I have read about.. but who knows as the only damn difference is the J and P BangHead.gif

Thanks for posting!  Yeah why do they make everything so complicated?  If these are the approved vendors why can't they just have a simple brochure for them that they can send us?!?!?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
