To be honest i didnt have any emotions when i tried the Maggie dress on it was only when i got home and looked at pic's that i decided i loved it.... i thought it was because i felt rushed etc that i didnt really feel anything!!! But today I JUST felt so so nice, and lovely :-) Ive just been spaking to my mum and when i go home in a few weeks hopefully i can find a stockist with both dresses in Warrington or near by so i can try them both ..... but today i really "FELT" like id found the 1 :-) x

Nicyx I think youve made your choice, i was exactly the same got all choaked up then tried on lots more but each time had to back to 'the dress' and try it on again, after trying it on 6 times i brought it! Go with your heart.

Michelle we're having the same dilema about witnesses, we have to have 4 that arent related to us arrrhhhhh

i got all  my paperwork from my WC last week, and noticed that my wedding package cost $1500 and thomsons have charged me £2235, so I went down and asked them why the big difference works out aboput £600 and they couldn't answer me, so they emailed the Thomsons wedding department and they have taken it as a formal complaint so they have 28days to reply. Watch this space!! I can understand a little mark up on price but not £600

Hi Girls

Nicci......The benjamin roberts dress is stunning and will definatly look gorgeous on the beach, has it made you feel more weddingy finding your possible dress??

Roo.....Hope everything sorts out for you soon chick what a horrible situation for you both to be in its ashame you have all this stressing you out when you should be enjoying your married life with Paul hope you get sorted soon ((((hugs))))

Well, i went to the wedding show at the NEC on friday and as i am getting married in Cyprus and there were a lot of people advertising for Cyprus i thought i would use it as my oppurtunity to find out a bit more so i went to speak to a company called Planet Holidays as i know they can just do transport, flowers, cakes etc rather than the whole package the lady asked me where i am getting married so i replied, Zucchini's in Paphos she turned to her collegue and said "it's just a restaurant" i thought how rude to say something like that when i am standing right in front of her!! she then went on to say i am surprised they are even letting you organise anything yourself !!!!! I was so shocked by this womans response i felt quite angry and upset and decided i no longer wished to speak with her and walked away.

Other than this i throughly enjoyed my time at the wedding show the place is huge and we had great fun, i have ordered my flower girls headband and by bridesmaids hair flower so quite pleased with that and got some lovely ideas for my wedding cake.

Is anyone else doing the national wedding show this year? the next one is in march so will be booking tickets for that one too :)

Nicy both dresses are gorgeous & your post gave me tingles.....BUT I think the Benjamin Roberts one, I love the detail on it & think it just pips the Maggie to the post.....also I think the 'feeling' is just as important as the look....oooh I envy you going to try on dresses today its the best part of it isn't itxx

Oh My God  I have already asked 4 people to be my witnesses & 2 of them are related!!  I wasn't aware they couldn't be!! Do you think its the same for every resort?

£600 Herbie is a massive difference, good luck with your complaint you should definitely get your money back thats outrageous!!

Just had to share these.....got some new shoes today for my hen night....am in love!!PICT0747.JPG

Thank you Waybuloo i think the woman was just bitter as i suppose that zucchini's is in competition for planet holidays as zucchinis won't deal with 3rd party operators they will only deal with bride and groom i don't regret my decision about zucchini's for one minute and we are really looking forward to our big day :)

I know its annoying the mark up on the cost of the wedding but its not like the TAs hide the cost of the wedding packages - its always gonna be cheaper going direct to the hotel.  The same as if you book a holiday direct.  Surely they will just say with the labour time of them booking the wedding; doing the paperwork and making their beloved profit they are entitled to make as much or as little money as they want.  The difference on mine is £450 but I am safe in the knowledge that if anything happens I am covered with Thomson if the plans turned sour and if I booked direct with the hotel I dont have anyone to fall back on.  Also remember the hotels base ther prices on the years before prices and guestimate the increase.  Worth a complaint I guess you may be lucky and get some money back.
Can you tell I work in customer services - lol!! x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
