Laura that is awesome!! Free is definately better and it is great to have the option of having it outside! Regardless it must be a relief to you and your FI to hear an apology and explaination for the in-laws behaviour.

UPDATE on my AHR situation...

If you guys recall, FI and I had a not-so-hot discussion about our AHR with his parents last weekend... I felt like crap after it.  Anyway, we were at there place Saturday for FIL's bday. On the way home, FI told me that his dad actually pulled him aside and apologized for their behaviour towards us and our ideas. He then told FI that the only reason the were pushing us to invite all of their friends to our AHR is because they'll give us $$$$$. (I'm not going to lie, $ for FI and I could be amazing because we're so tight finance wise right now) .. Anyway, FI's dad told him that they would be willing to pay for the whole AHR if we held it at the local polish hall (his fam is Polish). I guess he told FI that they understand we don't want the dance and speeches and stuff, but want people to get a good meal. SO.... that being said, we're considering it... providing that I don't have to do the reception "IN" the hall, but under a tent on the grounds.  I'm more open towards the idea knowing that FI's parents would be willing to pay!

I found some cute starfish letterhead at the dollar store(25 pages per pack I think) and I also bought letterhead that I created through vista print and ordered 10 at a time with each order. Haven't decided which one I am going to use yet cause I may still make a welcome book if I have time and will put it in that if I go that route.

An apology and a little cash never hurts huh Laura WOO HOO lol Very nice logo, can't wait to see the final result since I haven't decided what I am doing for my welcome stuff yet (ie..bag or folder)

Congrats Erin on the wedding and the member status! This will be a Valentines Day you will never forget! We decided to do our legal the day after we get back from Mexico.

I totally think after all this is done we should all meet somewhere and have a girls weekend!!!!! Since i think we honestly spend more time talking to each other than our friends! lol

ok so i ended up going with the oversized post cards. The shipping was only $1.50 more to add them to my order so why not right?  I ended up putting my logo and the 'letter' on the front and found this super cute picture for the back:

omg... the photographer who did my BD shoot just offered to do our wedding for FREE. She wrote me an email and told me "You're so gorgeous & sweet and a photographers dream to photograph, if you didn't already have a photographer booked I would honestly do your wedding for free if you payed my way down to there".... and it went from there. Now I just have to convince my fiance that it's a good idea to lose our deposit with our photographer in Jamaica.

Her work is fabulous. She's young and super creative and I loved working with her. She normally charges $3600 for a wedding here. Omg.

Oh and get this!  Apparantly some friend of FI's parents, who lives in England, and who FI only met like once when he was little heard about our wedding and has already sent FI's parents $200 to give to FI and I on our wedding day!! ... so i'm not going to lie.. the idea of getting more $ from more of their friends is kind of appealing!! LOL

I'm totally down for a girls weekend after this!!! Honestly i don't know how I would have gotten through this wedding planning without you ladies!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
