Yellow Gold for him and White Gold for me??

Recommended Posts

I was going to say what the other girls already did. My addition is that you should both have what you like and what you want, regardless of colour. Its for him to wear, not you and vice versa. So, good chioce to let him have his yellow gold.

Well said!! I tend to think it's all about me sometimes! :) Poor guy is already nervous about this whole wedding thing...the least I can do it let him get the ring he wants! I'm evil! sad.gif

I don't think it is weird at all. They don't have to be matchy-matchy to each other as long as you both are happy with it. I like the idea of mixing the metals though, like Kelly suggested. Although, my e-ring is both, so I guess I am partial to that already!

My fiance's great-uncle is making us rings out of old quarters (or is it nickels? whatever used to be silver). He uses a spoon and it takes him a few months, so we called him like as soon as we got engaged. I am really excited for that ring. Didn't mean to steal your thread!

I agree with the other girls that your rings don't have to match. My FSIL and her husband have totally different rings, and I have never thought anything of it. I also really like the idea of a two-toned ring for you FI. Then, you could still feel like they "match" a little. Let us know what you decide!

My FI hasn't decided for sure but he is really considering a yellow gold band for himself. My ring is white gold and I personally like that better than yellow gold. He trys on the white gold and he thinks it looks funny on him. I think i looks weird but I think more because neither of us is used to him with a ring on!

He tried on a yellow gold band and it actually seemed to mesh better with his fair complexion and light hair.

So the question is...is it wierd for him to have yellow gold and me have white gold??
I don't think it's weird at all - you guys should both get what you like and what looks good on you. He's the one who will have to wear it everyday so he needs to like the way it looks!

I fell in love with the clipart and knew I wanted to use it for my monogram. I'm also making luggage tags out of it. I belong to another forum (weddingbells) and there is a woman on there that makes monograms for members. I sent her the clipart and told her what I wanted and she graciously made it for me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
