  • 2 weeks later...

My something new will be my wedding dress, of coarse! :)

Something old will be the ring my mom gave my dad on THEIR wedding day. (i am going to wear it on a silver chain around my neck. And, seeing as they are both deceased, is my way to bring them both in the ceremony)

My something blue will be a blue beaded anklet that i am making.

Haven't figured out something borrowed yet....

I'm so excited to finally have this all!

My something new is my wedding dress... and a whole lot more!

My something old will be my great grandmother's earring which is a blue crystal cross. I plan on pinning it to the inside of my dres.

Something borrowed will be my friend's veil... which will then move on to my bridesmaid to wear in her wedding :) Oh, and the traveling starfish!

My something blue will be the cross from my great grandmother as well as my adorable VS undies :)

This is what I had:

Old: lipstick, boring I know.

New: Several things, but my mom gave me an emerald ring to wear on my wedding day.

Borrowed: I 'borrowed' a bouquet starfish from Tobe

Blue: My sister gave me a handkerchief with a 'D' on it embroidered in blue.

I am really luck to have six best friends that i met in middle school. We still do everything together and we are 27.

My first friend wore this bracelet and she has offered it to everyone of us for our weddings. She just offered it to me last weekend. I am so excited. That will be my something borrowed. What a great tradition.

My new will be my dress.

My old will be my grandmother's ring, which I am pinning to my garter.

I don't have a blue yet, but I'm sure I will since that is my color.

Is anyone doing the two pence for your shoe/flipflop?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
