True...I wonder if the chief concierge is still looking for it, LOL, that's the last thing I heard from Dreams!

something new: dress, shoes, veil
something borrowed: ?
something blue: ? ummmm....Jay's beautiful blue eyes?
something old: My Grandma's ivory beaded purse
Makes sense to me! Blue eyes...cute. And I love that you used Grandma's purse :o)

I totally know what you're saying Karen, and I kinda did the same thing. I didn't intentionally do the o.n.b.b. thing, but I guess it happened anyway.

old: earrings...although not technically "old" I did wear them several times before the wedding, and they were one of my first wedding purchases

new: shoes, purse, dress, underwear

borrowed: bouquet starfish (thanks TammyB!)

blue: garter (and starfish)

I haven't really thought about it yet, but this is what I'm guessing:

something new: dress, veil, etc.

something borrowed: huh.gif (ask one of my sisters for earrings maybe)

something blue: probably a garter

something old: my dad's pendant pinned inside my dress

  • 5 months later...

I thought I would bump this for the newbies (and myself)!

something new: dress, veil, etc.

something borrowed: We have a traveling brooch that gets pinned to the slip. It came about when a friend was getting married and freaked out when she realized that she didn't have anything old/borrowed/blue. We went and scoured the neighborhood yard sales that morning, hair in rollers, until we found this rhinestone pin. It was so much fun!

something blue: I want to have an E embroidered on the lining of my dress. My grandmother's name started with an E so it will be extra special.

something old: my grandmother's hankerchief from her wedding

Something Old: a handkerchief from my mother-in-law that both she and her mother had at their weddings

Something New: Dress, jewellery, contact lenses rolleyes.gif

Something Borrowed: dangly pearl earrings

Something Blue: garter; underwear (these were actually aqua blue with pink lace around the edges, both of my wedding colours); the ribbon around my bouquet

Erin, that's a great Blue :) But I do like the emnroidered initial inside the dress, I was thinking about getting the date embroidered inside mine, and I love that you might use your grandma's (and yours!) initial :)

Something new - dress, jewelry, shoes...

Something blue - garter w/ cute starfish on it

Something borrowed - friend's rhinestone flip flop charm attached to my garter.

Something old - an antique locket my BM gave me (which is also blue) that has a picture of my mom on one side & me & my mom together on the other side. My mom passed away recently so it means a lot to me. It attaches to my garter too. She also gave me a chain to put in on after the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
