I am! I know exactly how you feel. We have been working on our invites for a few months now, and I can't come up with the wording I want.

We did too. I had a hard time finding any I actually really liked. I searched for invitation wording & then we ended up putting different components together.
This is what we ended up with:

Together we laugh, we dream, we love
and on this day, we marry.
It is with joy that we,
Karen & Paul
invite you to share in our happiness
Saturday, the twenty-ninth of May
two thousand and ten
at six oâ€clock on the beach
Dreams Resort & Spa
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Food and merriment to follow

I "borrowed" (o-kay, stole) my invitation wording from another thread on here a while back.

Diamonpooch- seriously, can you plan the rest of our wedding? Looks like you are pretty much done with yours. Might as well donate to the less fortunate in DIY and wedding planning! I thought I had a pretty good handle on things until I read your post. Keener! hehe.

Thanks ladies for your suggestions and at least I know I'm not alone!

Karen that's so cute, I love it! I'm not getting married on the beach, I'm getting married on a Sky Deck so I think that's what's challenging.

I've been focusing on a lot of little details instead of big items... probably totally backwards but I can't handle the big stuff wink.gif

We are getting married May 8, 2010 Dreams Puerto Vallarta. I sent my STD's two weeks ago, sending an info packet for hotel & air this week, & invites 1st week of January. I reserved a block of rooms until April 2010, my WC said as long as I keep in touch & release them before due date, there will be no charge!

Once you find the rest of the wording you like, I think you could just write "at 5pm on the sky deck", or whatever time, on your invitation (if that's what it's called at the resort or wherever, so everyone will be able to find it). I think that'd be totally fine!
Or you could just leave it off and once people are there let them know specifically where it'll be. I've seen invitations that say "on the beach" or "in the gazebo" but I've also seen them just list the hotel or facility name & country. Good luck deciding!
And yeah, sometimes it's a lot easier to focus on the little things - some of the big ones can just be overwhelming!

PVbride- sounds like you've got everything under control! Way to be organized! :)

I really want to plan right now, but I feel like there's not much to do at this point! I think I'm just stumped....

What's the next step I can start on?

I have ordered my dress

Bought my veil

Bought BM dresses

Sent STD's

Working on invitations

Booked hotel

We're going on the weekend to look for FI & GM attire.

What else is there? It seems like everything's done at the resort. Should I start working on OOT bags.... I kind of now wish there was more to plan with a DW.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
