Your choice of wedding ring is very personal. We have put together this information to help you make your choice easier. If you have any questions at all please contact us at [email protected]

Handmade Wedding Rings

All our rings are handmade by highly skilled jewelry craftsmen. Each ring is hand finished paying particular attention to quality. A senior craftsman with at least 10 years experience checks each ring before we deliver it to you. The quality of our wedding rings is far superior to the standard wedding bands most of which are now mass produced in Asia.

Choosing Your Wedding Band

Your choice is very personal to you and provide a very wide selection of different styles, finishes, sizes and material - yellow gold, white gold, two tone and platinum. We have put our wedding ring collection into 5 different categories based on style and material.

You can choose matching wedding bands or if you prefer under "Related Product" for each ring we have listed other rings with the same design but with different finishes. Perhaps the groom would prefer a wider band and the bride a narrower band, perhaps you like the Claddagh design and he likes the Celtic design the choice is entirely yours.

Claddagh Wedding Bands

We have Claddagh Wedding Bands available in yellow gold, white gold, and two-tone (mix of yellow and white gold). The Claddagh ring was the traditional wedding ring worn in Ireland since the 1600â€s. The heart symbolizes love, the hands friendship and the crown loyalty.

Celtic Wedding Bands

We have categorized these bands by their material, yellow gold, white gold and two-tone and platinum.

They incorporate various designs from the interlacing Cetlic knowtwork, the Celtic Spiral, and the Trinity knot. Each of these designs is explained in more detail for each ring.

Widths of Wedding Bands

Our wedding bands vary in width from 5mm up to 11mm and many grooms prefer the wider band 7mm and above (width of standard plain wedding band is 4mm). While some brides do choose matching wedding band of the same width, a lot of brides choose wedding bands up to 7mm aswell. Again the choice is entirely yours and the most important thing it is to choose a ring that will please you for the rest of your life.

Brief History of the Wedding ring

The wedding ring, that most famous and instantly recognizable symbol of the joining of a man and a woman as husband and wife, has a long history. The circular band, dating as far back to the ancient Egyptians, was seen as a representation of eternity and a love that has neither a beginning nor an end. The hole in the center of the ring is not just space either; it is important in its own right as the symbol of the gateway, or door; leading to things and events both known and unknown.

The actual ceremonial exchange of bands however stemmed from the Roman Empire where the giving of a band was denoted as a public promise that the marriage contract undertaken between a man and a woman would be honoured. It was from here that this tradition filtered from to take root in Christian society making the swapping of bands an essential part of the marriage service.

They wore it like we do today, on the fourth finger of the left hand, because of a belief that the vein of that finger directly traveled from the heart. The Greeks took up this legend after conquering Egypt under the generalship of Alexander the Great in 332 B.C. and from them passed onto the Romans, who called this the ‘vena amorisâ€, which is Latin for ‘the vein of loveâ€.

my FI got the same ring as april's husband. http://www.trewtungsten.com/collection.html

There are a couple things about tungsten rings if you didn't already know this. First since it is the strongest metal out there, if you get hurt with the ring on THEY CAN NOT CUT IT OFF! IT would be stuck on there forever or you have to cut off the finger! That is really scary to me! But the lady also told me that her husband got his hand caught in a electric saw and the ring saved his finger! i guess it hit the ring instead of the finger! oh and there wasn't a scratch on the ring! Crazy!

WARNING!!!! Before you leave for your wedding, have your FI try on his ring!

We were playing around this morning and my FI tried on his ring (we leave Wednesday) and it's so big it fell off when he barely shook his hand. He's lost 10 pounds since we bought it.

One more thing to add to the to do before we leave...

Natalie, I don't believe that is true. I researched this before, and thought this might put your mind at ease (source e-weddingbands.com)
Can a Tungsten ring be cut off?
Can a Tungsten ring be cut off?
Yes! Please be aware that in any situation where there might be a medical necessity to cut off or remove a tungsten ring--for instance excessive weight gain, hand injury, etc.,--removing a tungsten ring doesnâ€t pose much more of a challenge than cutting through a gold or platinum wedding band. In our own jewelry shop, as in many other jewelry shops, we have a cutting tool designed for cutting titanium and tungsten wedding bands. In addition, tungsten bands can be fractured into pieces using vise-grip pliers. When we contacted our local hospital emergency room and asked if they were equipped to remove tungsten wedding bands in an emergency, they told us that most hospital emergency rooms are prepared to handle almost anything, and assured us that it would be no problem for them.
During our 30 years of jewelry repair experience, we've only seen a dozen or so rings that have been cut off in hospital emergency rooms, and in most of those cases the rings had been bent out-of-round and were putting painful pressure on the finger. Tungsten rings will not crush or bend out-of-round, so if you shut your hand in a car door or drop a heavy object on it, a tungsten wedding band is likely to fracture into several pieces and fall off your finger freely. You might be safer wearing a tungsten ring than a precious metal band! Nonetheless, check with your local jeweler or medical facility if you have concerns.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
