How much money did your girls have to spend for a night out with you? Who footed the bill etc? If you don't mind me asking.

I am starting to talk about this with my MOH at the same time a friend of mine is having hers and it seems extravagant. I declined to go to a portion of it for financial reasons and now her MOH is making a big fuss about all of this.

What is considered standard and what did you girls do?
I am sure everyone has a blast no matter how well or under funded the party is.

Mine was cheap. It was just a bunch of us girls hanging out at a friend's house. Some girls brought drinks & snacks. I don't think anyone spent over $20 & we had a lot of fun.

I'm always happy that I have not been able to attend any of the expensive bachelorrette parties I've been invited too. I am not interested in spending $100 for a limo & expensive activities. There is always at least one person who doesn't chip in and someone gets stuck with a big bill. I think it's just too much hassle. I would rather just spend time with my friends without all the expense.

I think they can be however much you feel comfortable spending. My MOH had everyone over at her house and made dinner and bought a few bottles of booze and had some snack laying out (which were great after we got home from a night of drinking). Then we went out after just bar hopping. My BM paid for the cab downtown and home and bought me a few drinks through the night. We had a theme but everyone picked their own outfit so there was no cost there.
We had a great time and didn't spend a lot of money!!

We did 2 days and a night out in Palm Springs - originally is was so much bigger, but due to finances we cut back. Everyone paid their share of a hotel room - 8 girls 2 rooms - and then the girls covered my dinner and drinks when we went out at night (we got a lot for free). We all brought lots of snacks and drinks for the room and out by the pool during the day...

I agree, it depends on your group of friends, your bridal party and where/what you do. I just got back from my bach. party on Monday. Myself and 15 of my gf's went to vegas for four nights. They paid for my hotel and my drinks and food all weekend. I think it costed everyone around $1000. These are all the same girls who are coming to my DW and noone complained about it. The girls who didnt want to pay, or couldnt afford to, just didnt come. Then again this was a trip for everyone and a vacation too.

I haven't had my bacherlorette party, but we just did one for my friend. We took her to Niagara falls and I easily spent $300. We paid for her portion of the hotel, all of her food and drinks, her sash and things like that, cabs, entrance fee into the strip club........I guess it just depends on what everyone can afford.

My MOH just told me about the planned activities for my stagette and I think it is a brilliant idea,
she is dividing the day into activities so ladies can come to one, or select events. She is having spa party at her house where the ladies can partake in mani/pedi's etc., from there we are going to dinner and then to a bar. She hired a limo bus and is getting shirts made for everyone. Everyone seems happy with the ideas!

thanks for all of your responses. I know it can go either way but where I live there seems to be a need to outdo each other rather than just enjoying your friends one last time as a single girl.
