Self Tanner-Which have you used and liked?

I actually work for Victoria's Secret, and the bare bronze gradual tanner is amazing! Plus during the semi annual sale, it's currently running 75% off!!

Another great brand is model and co. self tanning spray. Smells like vanilla, and the nozzle will spray at any angle, and because it's a superfine mist, you are guaranteed to cover your back and any other hard to reach areas without needing someone's help!

I agree with the girls about the mystic tan! Although it would be expensive to keep up with constantly, I always use it for events and fun weekends/outings. I actually worked in a tanning salon for a few years in college that had it so I've had lots of experience with it...if you decide to do it and have any questions on techniques for an even glow just let me know!

Use the Jergens Natural glow for like 4 days straight. You can even put it on twice a day. It gives me agreat natural color and doesn't look like that nasty fack color. I recently tryed the Face Jergens natural glow and it works really well too. wink.gif Good luck

I am with MeganShay all the way!

Mystic Tan for special occations, exfoliate well before and you can get 4 or 5 good days.

I use the Jergen Daily Glow Medium, and the firming kind, for more regular usage on my body. I am not too keen on the smell but after a couple of days worth I do have a little color and it works awesome over a little tan too.

You have to rub it in all the way and really well to not have uneveness.

Summer Source- by Biotherm, I find it gives a natural amount of colour without ever looking orange. Another trick to avoid streaking is to mix the self tanning cream with some of your normal-everyday cream and making sure that you exfoliate before applying the cream!

OK, I am an avid user of the Moisturizing Tanners such as the Jergens Natural Glow, However there are better one then the Jergans. The Nevia is good and has a bit of a sparkle in it, the Dove and Aveno are really good too. If you find you are getting streaks add some more moisturizer to it for the first week or so. These types of Tanners do however require more regular use. I use them every day for a week or so then cut back to one or twice a week. The days that I don't use the tanner I do use just a regular moisturizer. I moisturize every day and this keeps the colour longer. Also exfoliate in the shower ofter. Hope this helps!

  • 2 weeks later...

I've found that mixing a good-smelling moisturizer with the Jergen's Natural Glow helps kill some of that odd self-tanner smell, but I agree, it takes a bit longer to get that "base" going.

Has anyone found a good one for face that looks natural but gives you a little color?

I second the TANTOWELS! I actually just got another shipment of them today. They are amazing and do not streak and t does not turn you orange and you don't have to wait to get dressed like the other tanning products. They are amazing! My mom and sister are beauty product queens and i seriously think they have tried every self tanner out there and TANTOWELS are a sure winner!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
