Smashbox Cosmetics has a really good primer. You can purchase a small travel size to give it a test run. I will say it is expensive for the full tube but you will only need a little. So if you not one to wear a full face every day I would stick with the small travel size. I go mine from Ulta for $10. HTH

well ive always used mac as far as cover up and stuff...but i rarley use makeup up, mostly power studio fix and bronzer just so i dont look so pale and can cover any spots....so my BD shoot is comign up so i figured i can test run my makeup for the wedding with the BD shoot...i bought from MAC, a liquiid foundations, a concealer for under the eyes and for any spots, then she said to put the studio power fix on top...she used a brush to brush it on....then a blush or bronzer....i have eye shadow and liner and lipstick and lip gloss already...i liek the natural look..i dont liek dark colors neither...i like more pinks and beiges...tom i have to work at another site and want to look nice so i will try out the makeup, but only the foundation, powder and bronzer...not the eye shadow as i dont want to look like im going to a party lol

I wear Bare minerals and love it. I wear Smashbox Photo Perfect base (it comes in clear, or correcting shades) under the Bare minerals, when I want it to last forever. And Urban Decay eye primer potion on the eyes to make it last all night. You can get the Photo Perfect and Urban Decay in travel sizes if you just want to try it.

I love Estee Lauder makeup and in my opinion they have the best mascara. I am looking for a different foundation and powder for the wedding day though. I always sweat above my lip (when I'm really hot) I know gross. Sorry anyway, I want to make sure my makeup doesn't completly sweat away before I even get down the isle. Do you ladies know of anything that would help with that?

I am like some girls who don't really put on make up on a daily basis but I'm OCD with my skin care regime. I have oily skin so very careful about which makeup I use and won't cause me to breakout. I used to be a bare minerals girl but I just feel that it's seasonal and looks better in the winter than in the summer. I have smashbox photo finish primer and it does make a difference. I recommend Laura mercier tinted moisterizer and make up forever HD foundation. In the summer I tan very easily so I don't really put on foundation because my existing ones don't match anymore. So I like to enhance the glow and use bronzer and love lorac perfectly lit luminizing powder.

Great thread! I also don't wear too much make-up, so this is definitely an unfamiliar territory for me :o) I also have really oily skin, so I've been thinking about what to do for my wedding. I guess I should actually start looking soon. I was thinking of maybe even doing a trial run and using that for my engagement shoot? We'll see...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
