shootystar,

I ordered a corset back dress from Monica bridal that I just got about a week ago and it fits perfect.  I sent her my measurements and she did a great job.  I did add about an inch to my height though just to be safe because I was afraid of the dress coming too short, turns out it is an inch too long lol but that is my fault.

Thanks Brandy!  I need to re-group and think about what to do.  I know I will probably re-order another dress but I really want to get my measurements taken again (by someone else).  The woman who did it last time took so many different measurements (above the waist, at the waist, below the waist... etc) I am sure something got messed up along the way.

Anyway... will think about this some more after a glass of wine!

And if you happen to loose weight after that then you can have it taken in, but you should have the correct dress to begin with!

Other than the size issue, the dress looks great!  Maybe you could have a local dressmaker change the back to a lace-up style?

Michelle,

Just change it to a lace-up back, or get another one (a 2 lb bag!) that fits u perfectly! I am sure, they mixed up with the sizes.

You aren't fat, look at my bff, I am still amazed by the fact that while I was watching TV at her place, she was trying to tell me that she was doing smth about her tires...by doing 10 crunches while I was watching TV with my cosmo.  I almost die from the lack of oxygen due to excessive laughing (may also need botox to smooth all the laughing lines).

It is pretty close to the original, except..u need to stop eating for 2 months in order to fit in!  I guess they can make another one in 10 days.

Shooty,

I uploaded my dress's pics on photobucket.  Search prettypigpig as user on Photobucket, you will find them in my dress album.  As for the size problem, it is a mystery.  I ordered 4 dresses from Monica Bridal, 2 dresses for myself and 2 for my sisters, they all came out ok.  I ordered 1 dress from Babyonline for my disproportionally fat bestfriend, and it fits like a glove.  I guess I am lucky.

That's terrible! I would have someone else take your measurements and see if they match up with the first. At least that way you would know who made the mistake. Besides the fit the dress looks great!

For some reason I cannot see the pics of your dress Michelle.  Says I don't have sufficient rights???anyone know what the issue is?  other than I don't have sufficient rights?  Do I need like a million posts or something?

Prettypig,  you're a comedian at times on here. hahaha ten cruches for your best friend under the tires are only going to make the tires stick out more.  Burn the tires first tell her.  Oh I feel aweful using "the tires" phrase.  Just know I mean it with respect.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
