Any advise on how to take my own measurements as accurately as possible?

Shorty, Wow! I love them both! The firs white dress looks amazing. Great choice.the second one also looks beautiful! Love that color. They did a great job! I do agree on the belt location.

Lisa from Jasmines sent more progress photos of my dress with the lace application (now they will apply the beading and buttons) and what a difference the revisions I asked for made!  It has the shape! I am happy with the progress so far! Posted ImagePosted Image

Wow, this really does look awesome. The rouching looks perfect!the shape looks great too. Great choice. It seems like even with the premium grade they do a great job, the designer grade isn't really needed. Congrats!

Thanks! I am really quite happy with how it's progressing and I am happy that it now appears to have a shape. I was getting mighty worried for a second there.

I had my fiance help me    We used a measuring tape from the fabric store and also based on my other dresses I have at home and the measuring charts for those dresses, I was able to deduce that what we came up with were accurate measurements.

1st Dress (The differences I noticed were the size and location of the belt, the neckline, and the buttons extending past the waist in the back. They said I will need to wear a petticoat if I want a fuller look).

            Thanks for looking!

I agree about the belt location but if it's custom that may just be where your waist is? I am not sure though. I think both dresses are lovely and yes, you should definitely get the petticoat for the first dress to get a more fuller skirt.

It seems as though all the knockoff companies in China only have "white" and "ivory" as the color options. Does anyone know how to get softwhite instead of the stark white option?

They have samples of swatches in a lot of colors...I think if you request to see them they will e-mail it to you and you can request any color.

the first dress, if they can fix the belt location and remove the buttons from the waist down, then the dress would be perfect! i love the design at the bottom they nailed that part! the second dress is cute,, love the colour! congrats and good luck hun!

rThanks! I am also very impressed with the micropleating that Jasmine's has done. what kind of fabric is that? tulle or chiffon? How much did that second dress cost?
