I attached a picture of the dress I ordered and of the actual dress I got.

Before I ever even thought about doing this, I had tried on dresses at two different bridal stores. I was having a really hard time with how much money one dress could cost! And to even fathom doing a trash the dress after spending $1500-2000 on a dress!! Anyways, the dresses that I thought I would love ended up looking horrible on me, and then I found a dress that I really liked but wanted to make changes to which would have cost me even more!n

Then I found this thread....I didn't even know that ordering from China was even a possibility! I searched and searched, and found this style which is almost identical to the dress I really liked but it had the sweetheart neckline which I really loved! When I first found this dress, it was on sale....but after thinking about it and looking at it multiple times a day, when I was finally ready to order, it was back to full price of over $600. I wasn't ready to pay that, so I thought my experience would end there....but I am persistent, and two weeks later it went on sale again! I ordered immediately!

Input my order in on February 9, and chose the cheapest shipping method. My wedding isn't until October so I wasn't in any hurry. Amy at Dressilyme was in contact with me almost immediately. I had asked for pictures prior to sending and she said that they couldn't do that but to feel confident that it would be perfect. She also said that it would be 30-45 days to make and 10 days to ship. Fine with me. In February 26, I got confirmation that my dress was completed and had been shipped! And it arrived at my door on February 28!! Wow!

I did order it custom to my measurements, which turned out amazing! The dress literally fits like a glove! The only part is that the corset back at the too comes almost together, but it think if I wear a bra or undergarment under it it will close into the v shape that a corset back should be. The original is in white,

and I ordered mine in ivory. The color is perfect. The actually quality of the dress is amazing, just like any dress I tried on in a bridal store! Maybe a few stray threads here and there but that it easy enough to fix!

The lace on the dress is definitely different than that in the original, but it is very pretty. I think I like the lace in the picture better, but I am still happy with what I received.

The only alteration that really needs to be done is a bustle.

Also, I read somewhere that people dresses smelled funny...there is no smell on my dress at all! Lol

Overall, I would definitely order from this site again! My bridesmaids are checking out dresses they might like and I will probably order them from here as well.

Funniest part is that when my fiancé and I spoke about wedding dress budget, he suggested it be $500, to which I laughed and laughed....but now who has the last laugh!? All in I paid $360 with custom sizing, shipping, and I had to pay another $20 when it arrived for customs.

Best thing I did, now I can't wait to wear it on our we doing day!

I am going to have to check this out! I am all about saving dollars where I can!

anyone have and updates since Jasmines Bridal changed their process and no longer has the "designer service" upgrade? I noticed there was an added feature you could add to your order for "Photo progress shots"... that was around $30... which was totally reasonable. Has anyone ordered recently?

Looking for anyone working with them since 2014! (and their new changes)

Because these are designers in China (usually) who can recreate dresses for much less than the originals. They aren't selling you a dress with the original deaigner's name on the label- but can often make near identical (or sometimes nicer) versions of another dress. There are some really good and really bad companies out there so a lot of research is in order but the savings can be amazing! Read through this thread a bit to get a sense of what we are talking about! I had no idea the quality you could get- until I read this thread!

TJ Maxx online now sells designer wedding dresses at discount prices so why buy a replica when you can have the real thing!!!

For me it's because I want a custom fit and small changes to original designs to make it exactly perfect. Sure, I could spend $5000+ at the salon, or find a "designer dress" at TJ Max for a $1000, but id rather have something made just for me!

I've found a dress that I love. Found knock off for under $200. This seems to good to be true. I must have the tulle fabric for the softness of the gown. I'm really skeptical about getting the knock off. What if it gets lost in shipping?

David's Bridal has the gown I want for $950. I don't want to spend that for a 15 minute ceremony. I'm changing into something else for my reception.

If you read through the thread there are several very reputable seamstresses that have been tried and tested by BDW brides who can attest for the various companies. Some even send samples of the fabric/lace.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
