Are kids coming to your destination wedding?

Recommended Posts

Every wedding is unique :)

I could NOT imagine celebrating without my children ages 1 and 7. There will be a 1,2,4,5,8,10,13 and some more teenagers and about 22 adults.

I couldn't be happier. I'm planning on bringing a bunch of glow sticks, bubbles, maracas, tambourines, games, blankets, kids tumbler cups, fairy wands etc and just having a big blanket with all the goodies set up at cocktail hour.

For the adults... Well tequila :)

I'm doing passed French fries in tall shot glasses with ketchup at the bottom for the kids too!

So that's just how I'm doing it :)

My kids are looking forward to our wedding almost as much as we are!! Most of our friends have kids and are planning come coming with their families. The kids are so excited to be going on a week long holiday with their besties... They are going to remember it for the rest of their lives and it's such a wonderful way for them to remember the day that Mark becomes their step dad. There are about 20 kids coming so far! All around the same ages as our kids! I don't know who's parties are going to go later! Haha

That's really awesome. How old are your kids?

Identical twin boys who will be 9.... I will also be gaining a step son who will 15 at the time... But he's in the awkward " I'm a teenage boy who is excited by nothing and just wants to sleep phase"...So he will be happy just to not have school for a week.

Oohhh that's you with the twin boys!! These forums get confusing! But I do love your boys being included I'm sure they love that. As for your step son.. Ugh teenage boys what can you do really?!?!

Definitely. Our 5 yr old daughter is so excited about being a flower girl. This is her first time on a plane and on a big vacation. We could not picture celebrating without her.

We don't have kids but I know some people would have been unable to attend if we said no kids. Who would watch over the for a week? Kids always make things interesting :). we don't have any flower girls or anything like that but I wouldn't stop couples from bringing their kids

Having no children of my own it's funny that I can't imagine my DW without the children in my life part of the celebration. I am Step-monster to a 19yoF, aunt, great aunt and favorite person in the world to others! Plus, I have dear friends who would not be able to attend if there were no kids. Sooooo,  I have created an activity book for them, will find some 'special job' for them during the weekend and have a special I Spy game for the reception. I'm thinking of some activity to keep them occupied while in the air. Bubble Yum for sure!

This may sound a little harsh... children are invited to the DW, but we requested the wedding day to be for adults 16+ only. Our resort has a kids' club & childcare

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
