Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

JennaLe,

My first recommendation would be to read through this entire thread and take notes.  You will find that a number of brides have commented on many of these different areas.  My other recommendation would be to look at the reviews of the site most brides commented on the salon or anyone they had as a vendor.  I know it takes awhile to get through this thread but it is well worth it in the end.

How long in advance did previous brides give to book everything? Also what photographer would you recomend? and for hair and makeup did any previous brides use the hotel for that or did you bring in other vendors. I'm in the beginning stages of planning and need advice thanks for your input!

Hi Ladies,

I'm looking for some advice on decorations for the dinner. We are not doing a private ceremony and considering the Gourmet restaurant.

I spoke with the WC and she said unless you do a private dinner, they do not provide chair covers... What are others doing? Just going without? Bringing your own? What about table runners, etc??

hey ladies!

not sure if ya'll know about the iberostar rosehall traveling starfish sisterhood..but its well underway and if you'd like to participate..head over to FB and search for the iberostar rosehall traveling starfish sisterhood for the scoop..and to join the 'sisterhood'...

the first few brides have participated and its going well...

if you're looking for 'something borrowed' this would be an excellent way to 'check that off' the list.

as always, until next time, happy planning!!!

Hi ladies! Any of my fellow Iberostar brides planning to have their wedding or any part of their wedding off-site?

Would love to chat - we are now looking into the off-site option, my FI and I think it would be really nice to take our guests off the resort and enjoy some private time with everyone.

beachbum..there's a few brides who've done that..i think daisymable might've been one of em...

can't remember but there were a few...

good luck!!

btw..the resort isn't heavily populated..you might find if you do a private event or reception that you could avoid the need for going offsite...jamaica is a very poor country..and frankly, off site doesn't always look as tranquil or relaxing a on-site.

Hi Lindsay!

Our dinner is going to be very casual so this might be overly simple for what you have planned... I'm trying to do everything with paper to keep it light for transportation. I'm making luminaries with various sizes of white paper bags and lining them up all the way down the center of the table (we're having one long table) Some of them will have our initials cut into them with a palm leaf pattern which will glow when we put the candles in them, and some will have lyrics from romantic songs that we like written all over them.  Instead of chair covers I'm stringing paper flowers together and hanging them from the back of the chairs. That's all I've got so far, I'll keep ya posted if I have any other genius ideas though ;)

Angela,

These are GORGEOUS! I'm also having SAAB photography at my wedding in December and I'm so excited. Photography is the most important thing of the wedding so I can't even thank you enough for letting us look through your pictures. Thank you for reassuring us about Silvia and the Beach. I may have to email you a few questions. ;) Thank you again for sharing!

RyGuysBride, are you sure you understood the WC correctly? From everything I've heard, the chairs from the ceremony with covers/sashes  are moved into the restuarant for the reception dinner, whether its a private dinner or not. It will really stink if that's not the case :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
