Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

We did the legal wedding there, only one wedding day.  No problems. You get a copy of the marriage license and are supposed to get an "official" copy sent to you 3 months after the wedding.  Next week will be 8 months and we don't have that document yet.  I heard back from Nicole last week that they were behind and hopefully mine will be signed very soon.  I was able to use the copy for changing insurance (I didn't change my name) without any questions.

That's a great deal!! Did you have an early booking bonus deal or something? I guess if we looked at January we might be able to do better, when we were looking at january, they wanted a deposit by end of May which would have been impossible given we haven't sent out invites! It was an early booking promo, weird that they don't have them for the April travel!

We have told everyone April now so we're looking for something in April. I contacted a TA, she's been pretty great so far, I got quotes from her today, will be looking at them tonight but at a glance it still looked like it was about $2000. My TA did say April is really popular for weddings... I think we are going to have our wedding at the Beach and  maybe upgrade ourselves to the Suites. I also tried a few different TA's, all similar pricing, but current TA has been much more responsive :)

Obviously some weeks are more expensive than others.

Have you tried different TAs?

I used Misha for my wedding and also for my "trash the dress" pics the next day.  Misha was awesome to work with.  Not sure what the other photographers include in their quote but Misha brought side shooter and a "flash" guy for the wedding ceremony.  The "flash" guy followed us around to make sure that she had enough light for the pics.   The side shooter took pics of the groom and his groomsmen while she did me and my bridesmaids.  The side shooter also took pics of the cocktail party while Misha spent two hours taking pics of me and my husband.  For the trash the dress, she brought her side shooter with her again, but did not bring the "flash" guy.   Misha also covered the cost of the vendor fee and the day passes for each member of her group (this is included in her package).

I've gotten a few quotes and they seem so high! Just wondering if I'm out of my mind or if it is what it is and either I accept it or choose another hotel.

So far, rates have ranged from $1800 (beach) to over $2000 (suites) for all-in from Toronto.

I was really hoping to find something around $1800 for the suites.. is that unreasonable?

My wedding will be in November, and we're flying from TO. The best quotes I got so far were $1590 for the Beach, and $1810 for the Suites for Saturday departures - waiting for them to go down a bit more before I book.  FWIW, they were higher when I first asked for quotes a few months ago ($1700 for Beach, $1900 for Suites).  I don't believe in "early booking bonuses."

I was being quoted the same prices (as high as $2000) but held out and was eventually able to get a deal of $1550 - $1600. This includes an early booking bonus and I believe one other promotion... If Iberostar is really the resort you want, just keep contacting different agencies. The carrier I'm using is Sunquest.  (one week, all inclusive)

Those are great prices - Beach or Suites, and what day of the week departure?  How early did you book?

Re; Misha Earle. Her site is great but the price she quoted me was a bit high. I'm waiting to hear back from a few others before making a final decision. If I had to pick based on websites alone, she'd probably be my first choice. Were you able to negotiate prices with her?

As for other vendors, do you mind me asking who else you're booking. I was planning on using the hotel florist (thai floral) and booking a steel band through the hotel as well. Is it cheaper to use outside vendors? Costs seem to be adding up like crazy!

I negotiated about $200-300 off Misha's cheapest package (the 3 hour one).  I'm still afraid to book her, I can't seem to commit!

Oh no...8 months thatswck.gif

Would it affect changing name or anything "major?"

Who gives the copy and did Nicole explain the delay?

I agree one day to remember.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
