What are you walking down the Aisle to?

Recommended Posts

I'm 90% sure I'll be walking 2 Jennifer Hudson's "Giving Myself" It says it all. For our first dance we really like Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's "You're All I Need To Get By" we may even mix some of Methed Man and Mary J Blige's remix in there.......I feel in love with that song and wanted to use it from the first time I saw "Deliver Us From Eva" lol

  • 2 weeks later...

I would like our bridal party to walk down to Beyonce "Dangerously in Love" (my Bridal Party is very small so it will only be a snip of the song)

I am going to walk down to Kenny G "Sentimental" - (I really love Maurette Brown Clark "The One He Kept For Me" but we recently went to a wedding where the Bride walked to this so I want to do something different

I'm still not sure about the recessional just yet but I'm sure my FI will think of something. I'm sure we'll do something fun!

Our First Dance will be Musiq Soulchild "Greatest Love" (it's got a special meaning to us, my FI dedicated it to me when we first started dating :) )

Father/Daughter Dance will be Natalie Grant "Always Be Your Baby"

Man there's some good choices out there ladies!!!

Gosh it's so hard to pick just ONE for each cuz there's so many amazing songs out there but I think we have it narrowed down to:

Bridal Party: All You Need Is Love-  Vitamin String Quartet tribute to The Beatles

Bride's Walk: Look After You- Vitamin String Quartet tribute to The Fray

Recessional: Clocks- Coldplay or You Are The Best Thing- Ray LaMontage....so torn between these two.

My FI and I are such huge music fans it's hard to pick just "one". I do like the the Vitamin String Quartet is elegant and modern. I think words in music can sometimes distract from the moment, especially well know songs, and they do a beautiful job putting modern songs to classical string instruments.

LOVE Vitamin String Quartet, I'd never heard then before getting engaged...when I discovered them, I became obsessed! Your wedding's going to be beautiful!

I love Vitamin String Quartet! You are right it can make things a little more traditional and elegant while still being able to have a modern song you like.

All You Need Is Love and You Are The Best Thing will also be on my playlist. Music is really important to my finance and I too and ever since we got engaged (okay even before haha) we have been adding to our playlist. We are not having a DJ so I am glad I started early to have plenty to choose from! I will have to share the list when I am done :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
