Alright, I already posted this on the other 2011 thread. What do you ladies think about a Preversary (a little date night)? Since we are waiting a little longer than most brides, some of us are still waiting for the year countdown. What better way to kick off the "Our wedding is a year away" celebration than to have a Preversary date with your hubby to be? We will be in Cancun with our family (they have a timeshare, which is what inspired our destination wedding) and although we will already be done with the site visit and be back at the time share resort, we thought about having a picnic by the water for our Preversary. If you decide to do one too, please share.

We had a "preversary" date of sorts this year, it just so happens that our wedding date is also our dating anniversary AND the date we got engaged (no coincidence I guess) but this year we celebrated extra and went out of town to New Orleans since it is our last year as a non-married couple on March 14. So I am all for it!

Hello Ladies,

I am getting married July 9th 2011 @ Beaches Negril. I just ordered my Save the Dates and they will be here by April 5th. I should have them out in the mail by the end of next week.

I am mortified by the idea of planning. Have no idea what I want. Don't even know what my colors are. Today is my first call with a wedding planning rep. I plan on just asking a bunch of questions so I can get idea of what is feasible for me...because $$$$ is also a major factor.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
