I have the pictures on my work computer, so I'd have to post them another time. They have orchids, which is not a local flower, hence the more expensive price. But Esman quoted me more than the usual cost of bouquets/centerpieces for that reason! I didn't want to compromise on this as I have my heart set on orchids, so I am working with someone else for all flowers. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a destination wedding at an all inclusive with a wedding package! But like I said I'm not willing to compromise on this...

I'm so curious... can you post the picture here? I'd love to see this $300 bouquet and $350 centerpiece! I mean, its Mexico, there are flowers everywhere, its not like its Northern Canada in the wintertime!

OMG... that's like 4-5 wedding coordinators in a year!!!!!!!!! I'm surprised anyone takes that job with all the turnover. Obviously there is something wrong... I know part of it is that Dreams PV holds way too many weddings for what they are able to handle and that's why there are so many issues. To accomodate the 250-300 weddings per year that they (Dreams PV) want to hold they need to have a minimum of 3-4 at minimum coordinators, not 1 or 2.

I just received an email today saying Esman is moving on.  Wow, I can't believe all the turnover but I can't say I am surprised.  I was assured that everything will be taken care of.  I am so glad I got my contract and wasn't looking forward to working with Esman anyway considering how unaccommodating he was in the planning stages.  They really do need to hire more WC's.  Maybe they will give us brides a free bouquet now..hahaha

 

I'd love to see the bouquet that Esman said costs $300. also! :)

This was the inspiration for my centerpieces.

WedIdeas is doing the majority of my flowers so I'm having her also do the orchid strands ($6.50 each, 2 per centerpiece) and have asked dreams to recost without flowers, which for a twig in some rocks BETTER not be ridiculously priced. But who am I kidding...thatswck.gif

Wowza, I never heard that Esman was leaving. I sent him an email a few days ago with more questions, do you know whether they are using the same email address ([email protected])? Hopefully the new coordinator is able to keep up with all of us and we don't have to deal with any more changes. Keep positive Dreamgirls :)

I've received a reply from someone from the same email as Esman used. No name at the end though so I don't know who I'm talking to....

I expressed to them I was disappointed. I have read some issues you ladies have had with Esman, but I loved him. I even received a preliminary contract last week! And my wedding isn't until 2/25/2012! He was definitely on it with me.... Scared to see who is coming in next..

When Rebeca left back in the fall and my wedding was only about 2 months away I never received an email that she was or had left until after I sent an email asking who I was corresponding with as I had read on this forum that she had left weeks before... there communication sucks! After I asked THEN I received the email saying she had left...

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
