Any other 2010 Brides out there????

Recommended Posts

crystal - i love your date... 10/20/2010! how cute is that! and you will learn quickly, it's never too early to plan!

i'm so excited to celebrate with my 2010 bride buddies... got an email from our TA today and they came out with the package prices for Dreams PC through Apple Vacations a few months early so we finally have our prices!! My parents are paying for the whole family to come so we were really concerned with how expensive it was going to be. It is definitely going to be more affordable than we originally thought ($1500/person for 7 days!).

This is wonderful news after we found out yesterday that the mother of FI's daughter is not going to allow her to travel out of the country or during school (she'll be coming to our legal day instead now). Something moderately uplifting despite all of that.. we certainly needed it!

Hello everyone! We have decided on October 10,2010 in Grand Cayman. We will be cruising there and I am totally stressed as I think I should be planning now. I went to a destination wedding last year and truly apprecited the extra time to save and get ready for the whole thing. I know what I am looking for, but don't even know where to start.

I have decided on the ship and the location, I suppose that is kind half the battle already. I need info on nice STD and invites. Should I try to create these myself and save money, or just get them done the way I want by an internet print shop?

I will be 100% honest and admit the fact of the matter, my fiance and I just bought a brand new home last Oct, we have brand new wood floors, a $8,000.00 engagement ring and still plan to live with a little joy prior to the wedding.

Both my fiance and I are looking to not spend more than $5,000.00 for this wedding. My mother is buying the dress, but we do not see any point in spending more than that on the actual wedding, even if we could.

Anywho, in a nut shell we are looking for some advice on having a nice wedding with the people we love without having to put ourselves in any debt. We simply do not want to start our lives with debt due to a wedding that will only last 5 or 6 hours in comparison top the rest of our lives.

Thank you!

Hi All,

I'm also a 2010 bride. My FI and I were all set to book Dreams Tulum but then the flu hit. We weren't too concerned but since our parents were, we decided to hold off a bit. If all goes as planned, we're looking to our original date of January 20, 2010. I love the idea that I've got some time to think things through and plan. This forum has given me so many great ideas, I'm really excited!!

I'm a 2010 bride too! We're hoping for May 15, 2010 in Mayan Riviera. I might be well ahead of myself too, but I bought my dress yesterday! I had to. It was super steal and at a non-profit place, so the money went to charity. I really want to wear it now though-- it's going to be tough to wait a year!

Thanks, Erin. It's between that date and October 10, 2010. We haven't had confirmation from my WC on the date yet. So we'll see.

So exciting you got your pkgs and pricing!! I cant' wait for that part, I've contacted 1 TA, gonna start looking around for a couple more this week and next I think. That part makes it so real. When I got my email from my WC with the wedding pkgs, I was excited.

Welcome to the other 2010 brides. Happy Planning!

November 9, 2010 in Puerto Vallarta! It is never too early to start planning your dream wedding. I was surprised when I called to book my site and photographer that they were already booked up for most of the month. Crazy that people had already booked for a year and a half away. Glad I called and got my reservations when I did!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
