Here I go, complete with a-line crinoline and floor length veil :)

Haven't decided on jewelry yet ... or shoes, I'm barefoot in the pic, LOL

me - took off the feather pin from waist & beading from top corner.

Don't mind the 'duh' expression and messy hair, just piled it all up in a clip.

Boy it's hot in the dress, don't know how I'll manage the JULY heat!

OMG!! I love this thread it is too funny!!! Every one of you look better in your dress than the models...I think it is because on a model it is just a pretty girl in a white dress, but you guys look like beautiful brides, just glowing with happiness!

I think it's that...along with the fact that clothes look better on figures that do not resemble hangers. lmao I mean, geez..clearly, the wholeskin and bones model thing doesn't do a wedding gown justice! Even most petite women have some kinda meat on their bones. I don't know why they do that with the models..maybe to force you to focus on the dress, not whose wearing it? I dunno.

  • 3 weeks later...

I finally have a me vs the model photo.

First the model...I really didn't like this dress online

But then I tried it on and loved it...it is still a bit snug but I am working on it.

Ignore the sour face...I was talking to my sister and the hair is a bit insane...it was raining...I swear!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
