Moon Palace 2008 & 2009 Brides - POST HERE!

Hello Previous Moon Palace Brides!

Thank you for helping me to make the decision of having my wedding here! I am soo excited! June can't come soon enough!

 

Question:

 

1. I have about 80 guest coming and am looking to have a welcome dinner on the Art Terrace. Has anyone heard about this particular Terrace and if it will be big enough? I ordered the Moon Palace BBQ Buffet. Has anyone tried it?

 

2. Has anyone used buses for transportation? I was told they are $82.00 each. Which would mean I need two. My ceremony is at the Tuscan Gazebo but my Cocktail hour is at Lake Terrace...not sure of the distance in between?

 

3. Has anyone used one of the Ballrooms? My reception is in the Sunrise Ballroom. I can't seem to find pictures of it.

 

4. Most importantly is the MUSIC!! I am freaking out about this. I am using the Harpist for the ceremony.... are they any good? And the DJ!? Any good or bad experience from this?

Hi This may have already been answered, but just in case it has not... I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I think they reserve a gazebo as a "backup location" just in case but you will not have a problem having a beach ceremony. I would reconfirm with your on site coordinator to give you some peace of mind but I don't think there will be any problem with them setting you up on the beach.

How's planning?!? Everything running smoothly? I have been sending my WC questions and she has been good with responding up until now. I am not worried about it. If there are any pointers please let me know!!

 

Ohh are you bringing any extra items (Candles etc) and if so, are they setting it up for you?

I have over 20,000 pts that I don't need anymore. If anyone needs some or all of them, let me know. I have no idea how to transfer them, so you'll need to figure that out and let me know how to do it.

Have fun with your wedding planning! I enjoyed it so much! Can't believe it's been almost 1 1/2 years now... Time flies! Now I have a 4-month old beautiful baby girl.

This thread is to get all Moon Palace Brides - past, present, and future - to share the questions that you sent to your WC. The purpose is two-fold:

 

To make a comprehensive list of questions that you have asked, you need ask, you wish you would have asked...you get the idea. There are so many creative minds on this forum, I'd hate to go away thinking, "I should have asked about that," when I'm at the resort and it's obviously too late.

 

The other reason is so that those of us who are still in the planning stages can just put all of our applicable questions on one email to the WC, instead of having a lot of back-and-forth messenging. Maybe getting the questions list all up front will free up some time for them, and they can respond to us much quicker. (It seems that a lot of us have experienced some level of frustration with some WCs being slothful about responding.)

 

I am asking everyone to copy and paste their questions. I'm not sure if including the answers is a good idea, since things seem to change regularly. Additionally, many past brides have stated that when it came time to finalize the bill, the email dialogue between them and their WC saved some time and expense.

 

I am posting this link on threads for MP 2008-2011 brides. Thanks for contributing!
