ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Oh ladies, I forgot to update you on our wedding time. My WC said it's okay if we keep our regular time, but we have to leave the gazebo right afterwards. So we will not be able to have our cake and champagne there, it will have to be in the central garden. We are supposed to have our reception on Pelicano's beach, but after reading Jen's post, I think it may be crowded looking (too close to the furniture and other people). I wanted to move it to the gazebo beach, but it's already booked. My WC said most people want Pelicano's beach but I'm not so sure.

Does anyone know how far the gazebo, the central garden and Pelicano's beach are from each other?

the wind feels absolutely fabulous, whether you're on the beach during the day or sitting at dinner in the evening. it's gorgeous here!

mine dress is satin. haven't worn it yet, of course, but it held up through the traveling just fine. doesn't even need to be pressed. maybe due to the humidity here, but there is not a single wrinkle in it! FI linen suit, on the other hand, is a different story!

Nothing is that far from one another. We got married at the gazebo and its a really short walk to Pelicano's. The hardest part for me was walking on the "baordwalk" wooden walkway with heels! I would not want to have my reception by Pelicano's - i mean i guess its larger but its right on top of the road and near the pier which is where everywhere goes. And its right next to the Grand Porto so you have that traffic as well. The only plus is that you have more room i guess.

Hi girls, im closing in on my date and getting ready to fax in all final papers to the michigan office. I booked way back in Aug '09 before the changed the prices and ofcourse I dont have the "luxury package list" from then, does anyone know if it was $3,100 or $3,200? I also noticed, on the new list it says there is a $400 surcharge fee for weekend weddings after 4pm, was that there as well? Because I dont remember ever seeing that prior and im going to try and fight that, lol.

Thanks in advance girls.

Hey,
I booked in August '09 as well. The package was 3100 and there was no 400 fee!

I'm doing a totally non-traditional, light, short dress bc I never saw myself in one of those fancy ones: TFNC | TFNC Jacquard Bandeau Dress at ASOS
I'm w/LadyDi go w/the one that's the most you!

    • Go for the third one. It is gorgeous and you will look stunning in that. I'm sure you will be noticed by other people. Go for it.
    • I would suggest the long one. You will look stunning in that. It is simple and elegant.
    • Both the gown are awesome and I'm sure you will look gorgeous in both. But I would suggest the first one. Go for it and Congratulations for your marriage.
    • Hello everyone,  I am still engaged, still not planning the big day, because we haven't chosen a date + we have some family stiff to do so I hope that this forum will help me a lot before the real craziness during the wedding planning period. Happy to be here
    • Two of my friends are going to get married next month. Out of them one is suffering from serious teeth issue. He is having bleeding gums along with jaw pain and swelling, particularly around the gums or around the jaw. Because of the teeth issue, he is not able to make the arrangements for the marriage. Is it safe to carry out tooth extraction during this period of time? How painful is dental implants during and after the procedure? Will he be able to eat food after tooth extraction? Please share your views and suggestions. Thank you!
