I have never been Type A, until I started planning a wedding! And, now I feel a little stressed that I haven't contacted Zulma or any other Royal coordinators. Does anyone suggest a go-to person at the Royal? Thanks so much!
Welcome!!! How did you book your wedding if not through a WC? I think from what I've learned about them, they're all way over-worked and I'm not sure that one is necessarily a better choice than another. IMHO. I suggest you type in OOT bags into the search function. I've been gathering a list of ideas, but there are lots of threads on the topic. Also, check out the planning threads, most of the time brides have shown pictures of what they included. Oh, and there's a whole thread on cakes, too. Show me the cake is what it's called, I think. Congratulations and welcome! And I'm so glad you've found this thread as helpful as I have! (It takes a lot of patience to get to here from page 1!!!) Good luck with all your planning!!!

Thanks so much for the welcome. We have booked everything through Marge at DestinationWeddings.com. She has been the middle person for everything. She told me that one the Royal's WC would contact me around January. That seems a little wild to me. From reading this thread, it sounds like most of you contacted on of the WCs far before your weddings. I think that's what I'll do.

Hey Gals! We're leaving pretty soon and I don't have time to re-read all of the postings. So I was hoping someone could tell me if they've heard or used a projector to do a slideshow of pictures (from childhood to being together). It's just something I put together this weekend, and then I realized I don't even know if I can use it!!

Thank you!!

Thank you!! We have booked a DJ, so we'll check with them. Never thought of that.

Also, has anyone heard how much it is for day passes to get into the Royal. Some friends of ours are wanting to come last minute, but both the Royal and Gran Porto are completely sold out!! We've found them a nice, cheap hotel near by (The Real downtown) but not sure how much it will cost them to come into the hotel (on days other than the wedding day).

I'm really flip flopping right now on videography. Currently, we have playaweddings booked...but for photography ONLY. I've seen a lot of wedding videos...and I think with still shots, you can do some really beautiful slideshows to music...but...its not quite the same as LIVE video footage.

Do you have the prices for the Funever? I might get them to do just the ceremony or something...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
