Where do I start?!?

Hi I'm a newbie in need of some help! I've always wanted a destination wedding, but never sure where? The more I look the more confused I get!

Where did you guys start? Did you always have a certain place in mind? Did a Travel Agent help you?

I want the wedding to be small....my parents, his parents, a couple friends....I want the location to be spectacular (of course!), perferably on a beach, and I want a place we can all have fun (a golf course nearby would make a lot of us happy). Also affordable. Is this too much to ask?

I always had my hopes set on Hawaii, but all I hear is how expensive it will be. Plus I don't know how the long plane ride will be on our son..which will probably be around 1 or 1 1/2 when we do this.

Can you guys please give me some good ideas? Any sites that list packages, so I can get an idea of how much this will be? Thanks so much for the help!!!

Welcome Megan. Picking the location was the hardest part for me by far so I can feel your frustration. I have never been to Hawaii so I can't vouch for that but have you considered Mexico? It is still relatively easy and inexpensive to get to, especially from the Midwest, and there are so many different price range of places to fit any budget. If you don't want to travel outside the US, have you looked into Florida or California?

Have you picked your date yet?

I always wanted to get married in Bora Bora, but I knew a lot of people wouldn't be able to go and I was trying to keep it reasonable for them. Then I narrow it down to Mexico, because it was close and more affordable . Hawaii is absolutely gorgeous, but it is at least a 7 hour flight. The forum is wonderful and will give you a ton of ideas and locations. Good luck and welcome.

I pretty much always knew that if we had a destination wedding it would be in Charleston, it's my family's second home. We've been vacationing there almost every summer since I was 12. But I found it relatively simple to plan, that might be because I am familiar with the location but once you get the ball rolling you can really just roll with it.

I am currently the only bride on here getting married in Charleston and if you've never been it's a beautiful place. Golf, Beach, City, great food..........everything right there. And the best part is it is HALF the price of having our wedding in Philadelphia. I'm getting everything x2 than I would at home.

I think you can't go wrong choosing to have a destination wedding, you just have to find the right place. There are so many girls here to help you, lots of girls getting married in the Islands and Mexico and some in Hawaii too. I'm we can all help you with any questions you might have.

I hope this helped!

You've already given me some good ideas! I have thought about Florida...also the Sandals Resort.

I've never thought of Mexico as a wedding destination...hmm.

Also I've always heard good things about South Carolina. My dad's been there several times and always mentions how gorgeous it is.

The possibilities are endless....any where you go will be great! If you decide on South Carolina....you could be my Carolina Bride Partner....hahaha! Please feel free to ask any questions! Good Luck!

All I want is a financially independent woman. The appearance, age, nationality, past life including kids don't matter. But, if you have been married before, I require you to be legally divorced for the purpose of obtaining visa and citizenship in the future. And, your kids must accept me too. I would definitely require their consent. I am planning to relocate for my love immediately. So, it won't be a distant relationship at all. And I am not a fake or a scammer. I can prove myself through video call whenever you want. I am willing to give my unconditional love, care and affection to my soulmate. • Hi all! I am trying to plan my wedding, and would love some pictures so I can get some ideas as to how things will look. We have chosen The Cove at the Atlantis for our ceremony and outdoor reception. Anyone else have a wedding there, who can share?
    • Of course my vote goes to dress #1. But I want to point out that the bride's dress is not the most important attribute at a wedding. Of course it is very important, but as an "experienced guest" who has been to many weddings, I want to assure you that more guests' attention is tied to the interior. Most of all I remember the wedding of my best friend, they took decor for home https://flowersdecor.ca/, and decorated the entire room with it, because of this was very comfortable to be there. I loved the atmosphere and will remember that day for a long time.
