For all you Toronto/Ontario girls we use "Redwood Pet Resort" in Milton. Basic package is $23 per day and they get 24 hour access to outside - it's family run and they love Barney and Barney loves them!

Here's the site - Welcome to Redwood Pet Resort

Thanks, I'll check it out!! :)

Our dogs are going to go to a Doggie Spa. They get a full day of play and then have their own rooms at night - but since we have 2 they will share a family room and keep each other company.

It's not my favorite option, but being in a new city we don't really know that many people yet.

Anyone in Phoenix area, I'll trade you pet sitting! rolleyes.gif

Wow everyone! Thanks for the great ideas... I was going to have a friend who couldn't afford to come to Mexico for our wedding look in on my cat every couple of days (and administer fluids to her as she is a special needs pet), but heck I never even thought of hiring a pro! I did some research and for $15 - $20 a day, I think it's more than worth the piece of mind and not only will they come to administer my cat's fluids, they will also come every day to give her some wet food, change the litter and share some love!

We had a friend stay at our house. She has let them out before and they knew her so i felt better about leaving them home. We have never left for that long and were worried they wouldn't eat at the Kennel. If we were going to board them we were going to take them to our vet. They were the only reason we came home from Jamaica!!! We would have loved to stay longer!

the company is NJ Pet Sitters, L.L.P. - We're Animal Lovers! and i think they are throughout nj.
We're also having a pet sitter come to our home. We have 2 cats as well, and she will be coming every day for 1/2 hour. It's $15 per day here in PA. I actually found her on one of these 2 sites: Home and National Association of Professional Pet Sitters.

My kitties will much happier staying at home than being boarded. I honestly don't think that the one would survive - she's a little neurotic, bless her heartcat.gif

We are taking our dog and 2 cats to the Country Club Pet Resort here in Calgary. Is is very appropriately named! The dogs are out playing all day long, sort of like doggie daycare, but with different activities (including swimming if you so choose!). It's really something, and it's a little pricey, but it's so worth it. Our dog loves it so much that once we hit the gravel road on the way out to the farm, she starts crying like she does when she knows she's getting close to the park, and when we get there, she jumps out of the car as soon as we open the door, and runs ahead of us into the reception office!!! The only downside is that we almost feel like she doesn't care that we're leaving!

We normally have a friend of mine look in our cats every day when we're away, but she's coming to the wedding, so I think we'll be taking them to the Country Club this time too.

fortunately a friend from MI is in between jobs right now and would love a "free" trip to CA! So we have him for a week, then the other 4 days, we'll be sending him to a neighbors, who wants to "test" out having a pet. On our next trip, sadly but true, we'll have to board them, the kennels around here are so clean and great that we're not too worried about it, good luck! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
