  1. you can rent bridesmaid dresses the short are $50 and the long are $75 they have a bunch of different styles and colors and you can order free samples. My coworker said that they ordered dresses from there for a wedding she was in. I read some Yelp reviews and of course theres some unhappy customers.
  2. I have a Maggie Divina that I am selling. It is heavy. I tried it on to make sure I wanted to sell it and I got so frustrated with the dress. I have my heart set on the Maggie Marianne. The first thing I said when I tried it on was "its so light" and It looks amazing on me. I like it better on me than the Divina
  3. Aww man I guess booking my wedding in September was too early.
  4. Contact styling trio. They have locations that you can go to and still receive the same treatment. I believe their main location is on 5th Ave, unless you want them to come to your room. What Riu are you getting married at?
  5. Has anyone used Little Borrowed Dress for bridesmaids dresses? How was your experience?
  6. @@BecomingaRiggio I will be selling my items. But your wedding is before mine. Mine isnt until 2016. @@cassie06 I will post up pictures. I am sorry I havent been very active here lately.
  7. @ as long as you stay at a Riu Palace, you have access to all of the Rius there. We stayed at Riu Palace Riviera Maya and it is further down the strip from the other Rius. But, we loved seeing the other Palace when we went jet skiing. I'm also glad that RPRM was further from the other resorts because it made us explore Playacar. Theres a bunch of little shops, a starbucks, and some other stores. Oh with Riu though, you can only have dinner at the restaurant youre staying at, but you have access to everything else. But, Riu Palace Riviera Maya and Riu Palace Mexico have the same wristbands so no one would know. Riu tequilla does not have a beach they have a beach club. Which is off their resort and on the beach with a bar and restaurants. Staying at a RIU Palace you can walk the beach and go in any of the resorts
  8. I think Riu Palace Mexico is good for a wedding if you want to do Riu. I stayed at Riu Palace Riviera Maya. It was nice, but our rooms were very mildewy. I also didnt like the locations for weddings though, they werent private. We did visit Riu Palace Mexico and it was very nice. I think guests would like it. We went at night and I didnt notice their wedding locations. The entertainment staff at our resort said the nightclub isnt great. We did venture to Riu Tequilla one night and it was meh. I didnt like the resort either. These resorts are in the gated community called Playacar. We also went to a nightclub with Riu. You can ask me any questions. We had a great time. I didnt book Riu for my wedding due to our guest size, so Palace just offered us more for the size of our guests.
  9. I actually wouldnt be too worried about it. The chances of teenage boys attending the wedding are slim to none. He probably asked for his friends to come so he can have someone his age to hang out with and enjoy his vacation with. Sometimes we have to remember that this is not just a wedding we are planning but asking people to spend money for a vacation. I think they should be able to choose how they want to spend it. Just get clarification if he will be attending the wedding and then say that you dont mind if they come, you just ask that they be ensured to know that they are not wedding guests. I have guests that invited their whole family, like their chidrena nd parents. My in laws invited their friends that they normally golf and vacation with. I think it's fine. I told them to use my travel agent and to let me kn ow if they will be attending the wedding.
  10. Yes I do @@cassie06 I have to take them out the package first. They are still in the box I received them in from linentablecloth.com
  11. I wish my outside vendor fee was $350. I'll take $350 over $800 any day. We hired DJ discomovil. Even with the outside vendor fee it was still cheaper to hire him than the preferred vendor
  12. I didnt finish reading, but can we do something similar for Palace? Their outside vendor fee is ridiculous. $800 for vendors is crazy too. Especially since their preferred vendors dont offer as much as outside vendors and the preferred vendors prices are extremely high for what they offer.
  13. Has anyone used them for their DJ services. I saw some of their packages and they offer some great services. But i haven't heard or I should say read any reviews on them. I'm starting to panic about prices as I heard Palace is now adding additional fees on top of the outside vendor fee for the use of electricity.
  14. We hired ivan luckie. It was between him and Samuel luna
  15. Hi Ladies, I am selling my Maggie Sottero Divina Dress. She is a street size 8, dress size 12. Color: Ivory with attached beaded swarovski belt Corset Back Only worn to try on. Store tags are still attached. Dress has not had any alterations done. Beautiful dress! Smoke free and pet free home Stored in Davids Bridal garment bag I am asking for $1200 or best offer. I will pay shipping. This is a beautiful dress, but I love a different dress. So, I need Divina to go. Please send me a message if you're interested so I can get an email. Thanks!
  16. @@LMichelleB i have yet to get a response on rates from PSAV, would you be willing to email me them?
  17. Those were my two choices also. We stayed at Riu palace riviera maya and the rooms were horrible, moldy, moist, and stinky. Everything else about the resort was great. I did not like their locations for weddings as none of them are private. So i considered riu palace mexico as my friend didn't have any of the company's we were having. I really wasn't impressed with Riu wedding packages, it seems like they charge you for EVERYTHING. I think riu is good if you are not going to have alot of guests. Now palace and hard rock resorts in my opinion have the best benefits for wedding groups. Palace offers up to unlimited free night stays, free upgrades, and up to unlimited private events which is great. My wedding was originally booked at Playacar Palace, I toured it in September very nice resort, great location right next door to senor frogs on 5th ave. But the resort was a little under meeting the needs of our guests. So we decided to move it to Moon. Riu palace mexico is located in a private and gated community called playacar. It is nice in there. You will find tons of information here and feel free to contact one of the travel agents from this forum, wright travel agency.
  18. I recommend palace and hard rock. It seems that their group benefits haven't been topped by anyone
  19. @@calgarybride2015 when we were in Playa, we purchased maraccas from a local shop on 5th Ave for like 15 pesos, which is like 1 US dollar When I find the ones we brought back for my daughter, I will post a pic. I was planning on ordering wooden maraccas from oriental trading and painting them myself
  20. @@HilaryMWren I actually love the dress it is gorgeous, heavy, but beautiful. However, my friend wore it at her wedding and I have been giving it second thoughts, only because my mom couldnt go dress shopping with me and I bought it on a whim as a sample. However, my mom and I went dress shopping again and I fell in love with Maggie's Marianne. So, I am selling Divina, plus its too small and I was stressing myself to lose weight to fit the dress.
  21. I still have everything, @@colleentf09 I plan to go to the post office tomorrow to figure out shipping.
