    I was jsut talking to a friend who cam back from a destination wedding and she mentioned the bride had starfish and they were so cute, but I never considered if they were real or fake, now I will have to ask her b/c I was considering doing the same thing

    I hear ya re: shoes - we decided to go with the gazebo option as it overlooks the beach, so we still get the effect, but this way I can wear shoes with my dress and avoid as many onlookers

    Somebody told me" your true friends will show up at your wedding and your parents funderal", and that is totally proving true for us. Friends we thought might have a more difficult time making it didn't even blink when we told them our plans, and they have been so awesome and supportive for dealing with all the other people who are not making the effort
