  1. Now that you say that... We have three people who's name are "TBD" because people are unsure who they are bringing (for example- my uncle might have court that week so my aunt didn't want to put his name down just in case she brings someone else if he has to work)... Laurielee told me that with Sunwing/Signature- if you put a name down and change it, it's $50... But if you leave the name blank there is no problem or charge so long as it's named before final payments. I would guess is Transat and Sunwing operate like this, there has to be something similar for WJ Vacations!
  2. Expect there to be at least 40% off for cyber Monday... Will post the code!
  3. There are tons on these boards.... You can also google it. Alleebits (sp) has one that many of us have used You can delete any portion you don't want.
  4. Laurielee can hopefully help! Fingers crossed for you... If anyone can do it she can!
  5. You may or may not get away with it... Worst case she will be asked to leave... But the open areas/restaurants and bars are for paid guests only- so they traditionally don't allow non paying guests (staying on site or whom have purchased a day pass) to attend anything but a private event. We are telling our guests they MUST buy a guest pass for any days they plan on attending functions at our resort for this very reason.
  6. If they are attending private events only they will be escorted off property (names on guest list)... If you purchase a day pass to use the facilities/eat/drink as a guest/ they can stay til midnight I believe.
  7. Rain normally only last a short while and then burns off- don't panic... And the covered areas used for back up locations are really pretty! I tend to watch "weather underground" for the most accurate forecast. You can't know for certain if it's going to rain, but you can see extended forecasts and projections and plan accordingly.
  8. Wright Travel (the owners of this site) have the highest level GI certification that Karisma gives, so it allows the best deals/perks if you use them! I'm Canadian and packages are different here so I'm using a great Canadian TA with similar credentials, but if I were in US I would definitely use Wright!
  9. If you previously sent a PM that couldn't be opened by recipient, do we need to resend? Or will they now have access to old messages that were sent while glitch existed?
  10. Randomly ordering an inspiration dress from a factory in China would be foolish and ill advised, but if you do your homework and document everything along the way, there are some amazing dress makers located all over the world- including China- and you can definitely get a beautiful dress for a reasonable price.
  11. Best to reach out directly to the vendor(s) you are interested in and ask for a quote, since this thread is 4 years old and pricing can change from season to season.
  12. I saw you have already posted on the Sensatori thread but I would take the time to read through both the Sensatori brides and the official Sensatori threads... It's a lot of reading but you will get a ton of information and suggestions on photographers etc. The threads are a wealth of information!
  13. Both authorized DJs are on the lomas weddings website with pricing. Outside vendors are 3 night hotel or $800
  14. Yes- Alberta does not do "courthouse weddings". I believe other provinces may also be following/have followed suit.
  15. Just one piece of advice- @@Lissie88 work with a GI certified TA so that you get all the perks available to you for having your wedding at a karisma property. Have them coordinate your BdR so it's on file that you are using that specific TA and then you will have access to deals/bonuses that others don't have. BdR is great... You will enjoy it, I did mine this past June. Karisma does a great job. There is tons of info on these boards about them! Read the official Sensatori thread too- as many of the same rules/packages/info apply to both properties. Memorable Moments packages are nice.., but if you are having large group, adding on for your extra people can add up quick on your budget! You can pick pieces from the look and don't have to do the entire thing though- so savings can be found.
  16. Best advice is to find a great TA who specializes in destination weddings... They will be able to offer suggestions based on your wedding budget, you ideal guest costs, the look and feel you are wanting, and the amenities you require! Once you have them narrow it down for you, check here for wedding reviews and past brides comments about the resorts in question as the folks here are invaluable! Good luck and happy planning!
  17. Agreed, although it's random (I've seen a 5 yr old kid get the red light after his parents both got green), I do believe there is a way for the officer to make it go red if they need to check you. But that may be the conspiracy theorist in me!
  18. Doesn't look like it.. But still good deal for anyone still looking. You could add a tag to the strap maybe? Reviews aren't great on them though.... So make sure they work I terms of size etc! I still think weddingchicks has the best price for the quality- but for a cheaper easy option this may work?!
  19. Wow great prices!!!! I'm definitely going to make note of this company! Looks like a winner for me!
  20. @@linaco80 we are doing one bag per room- so both tumblers will go in the bag. We have almost 100 guests so it will still take a ton of planning on my part for about 40 bags. Then rooms with kids will get the additional kid items. I forgot about the key holder... Plan on adding those to the bags as well... I just forgot to mention it! If I get actual Tervis tumblers I will buy them direct on sale... Bubba mugs will be direct as well... I don't think weddingchicks sells them!
  21. @@linaco80 you have to go to their "shop"...not just the website. That's the place... You can get them for $6.50 a bag when you buy more than 20... They are sold that way... Then the sale made them 3.25. They will have a cyber Monday sale too- but usually 40% off. As for the Tervis... We are going with no handle... Just a tumbler more than a mug... Again waiting for 25% off with cyber Monday. If not there, then bubba mugs have some nice options. But yes- plain and then adding a waterproof sticker.
  22. For our pre-travel mailers we are sticking to flat/paper... Easily mailed. They will get a detailed "passport" program with tons of info on the area, the wedding events and fun facts.... A luggage tag and a letter. Basic and simple. Their welcome bags are going to be much more detailed. I ordered canvas custom wedding totes on weddingchicks.com at their recent sale for 50% off and got a custom design for $3.25 a bag!! They will ship soon and will take a pic, but their quality is excellent and I love the design. We will be putting two tervis mugs with a davetdesign label, a pool float, a custom deck of cards, and a "do not disturb" door hanger. I may add a hangover kit but not sure at this point. Then all kids are getting a sand pail with toys, and a fun pair of sunglasses. Our bridal party will of course get a special bag with more items but that's it for us!
  23. I would ask your photographer for recommendations of great places they like to shoot at... They will know best!
  24. I am not a GbP bride so can not answer these questions for you, but you should be able to get answers from your WC. When you booked your wedding date did you not have to sign anything? What sort of agreement do you have holding your location? Ask your WC for specifics around outside vendors. This is a standard part of the wedding planning process and they should have it readily available for you- if not in writing.
