  1. I guess she was happy with it. This is sort of a "Hit it, then quit it" type of thread lol
  2. I think this is fabulous! I love the bling! It doesn't look cheap at all. Gonna be beautiful!
  3. I agree. I think the only way to go would be to go with the bustle idea. I am doing that with mine as well.
  4. We are doing a casual welcome party by the pool so people can come by and say hi and go back to their rooms or go to dinner after. Kind of like a Happy Hour. We are not staying at an AI and my wedding is on a Friday too. Most of the guests are arriving on the Wednesday. We plan to do a very casual thing with a few party trays of finger foods and people can get their own drinks at the pool bar of our hotel. We are already doing a full dinner and open bar for the wedding so we don't want to go crazy with a welcome dinner/rehearsal dinner. Actually, we don't have a wedding party really, just have a MOH and BM.
  5. I know that rum lol I can just see my mom's face if she saw that in the welcome bags hahaha I actually don't drink so I don't want to put a ton of alcohol in the bags, I may put some ginger beer or something of the like for those that don't drink too or maybe some pepper jam.
  6. ahh the dreaded OOT bags lol Okay, you ladies have forced me to start thinking about them and basically, I've come up with this. I am buying most of the things down in Grand Cayman because I want to add local flavor. I am nixing toiletries and the like. From home: Cartoon map of Cayman Islands and Welcome magazine with note from us, itinerary, etc. Getting In Grand Cayman: Tortuga mini rum cake (known for this!) bags and tissue paper (their little 99 cent store is a few blocks from my hotel) local saltwater taffy (they are known for this too!) Regular & light Caybrew local beer Might throw in nuts or something but that's about it. short, sweet simple
  7. I am thinking half eternity. I have a solitaire engagement ring. I will probably not fuse them together though. I hadn't really thought about this in depth but now that I am, I do like the idea of having two separate rings. We'll see if it ends up annoying me in the end.
  8. on the topic of engagement rings and wedding bands, is it customary to get them fused together or personal preference or both? We haven't looked at wedding bands yet, in person, but I've browsed the Tiffany site to see what goes with my engagement ring. Probably won't purchase until December/January.
  9. This is perfect!! Definitely going to use either for our welcome magazine or thank you cards! Fantastic share!
  10. my two Yorkies are my avatar. Their first professional photo shoot! This was from our engagement session!
  11. Most of our guests live near a major airport either Pittsburgh, NYC, Philly or DC on the East Coast. On the West Coast, most of my family is either SFO or LAX. This breaks down to flights costing anywhere from $400 to $700 r/t to Grand Cayman depending on if you want a direct flight and if it's from East Coast or California. Hotel, we got a great deal and for three nights minimum, it's breaks down to about $156/night for the smaller suite. Free breakfast and wifi.
  12. Yeah I had to sit myself down too and stop staring so hard at my dress lol I think they do good work and have been accommodating. I haven't seen anymore photos of mine since my first wave of photos. Fingers crossed for both of us! Your dress looked pretty fabulous though from what I saw
  13. Wow! This absolutely fits you like a glove. Congrats to you too! Beautiful dress and figure!
  14. Yay! Where is the photo? How did the dress look? @Donna how is your dress progressing? Have you gotten more progress photos of it?
  15. If you can commit to a marriage, you can commit to taking better care for yourself. Just consider it another vow you shall take
  16. so wait, all of you DIY brides, how are you getting all your wedding stuff down to your destination weddings? Shipping them?
  17. We used one for our STD and then put some on our wedding website and I used most of them for our guestbook.
  18. I am the opposite. I feel lucky my FI doesn't want to be hands on lol
