Hi jriftin, Making our wedding website was a lot of fun. We used weddingwire.com. My fiance even helped with selecting things to put on the site, and was very hands on in the creation. I looked into making one with theknot, and found weddingwire to be more user friendly. Also, its free, and you also can make a personal free weblink. Weddingwire is very easy to use. I liked how you could personalize the webpage, background, colors etc. We were able to add pictures and customize each page layout. We were able to add different pages and create our RSVP on the website. There was also tonnes more that I used with wedding wire. for example, I compiled my guest list using their setup, and then used their features to import everyone's address. Such a fantastic tool! Thank you for sharing this story! Life is truly precious and we are given today as a gift. We aren`t guaranteed tomorrow and to love now in the present is truly amazing. I am so lucky to have found my love that I am so anxious to marry and to spend my life creating memories with for years to come.

We will be spending the night apart. The day of the wedding we are planning to not see each other until before the ceremony. This is one tradition we are happy to keep with having a DW.

Welcome Lisa! Im also from calgary My FI and I made a list of what was important to us in a resort and location. We pretty much did the same as FireyNurse and laid out the different resorts and packages in front of us and made comparisons. Our TA was a huge help in narrowing down our list. My friend is getting married in Vegas April 2013 at Mandalay Bay and is getting the ultimate package which includes every detail of her wedding. Happy to share any info

That is like our resort as well. We have to pay the resort photographer a $500 fee for bringing in an outside photographer.

We are getting married June 12, 2013 in mexico and are planning to get legally married the month before. Only our immediate family and a handful of very close friends know that we will be legally married prior to Mexico. We don`t plan to do anything fancy for the marriage here- just going down to the JP office and then going for lunch after with my family. We will be using our mexico wedding date as our official anniversary date.

Hello fellow BDW subscribers. I've been browsing through this forum for a little while and I'm truly impressed with the support, ideas, suggestions and creatvity that everyone has to offer. My FI and I are getting married June 2013 at the Barcelo Maya Tropical, Riviera Maya. Since we picked our destination with the help of a TA to narrow down all the choices it has been such a relief. We just decided on our invitations and ordered them and I can't wait to continue the planning process. Look forward to sharing this experience with all of you. Happy planning
