I know what you guys are feeling. You want to know NOW who is coming etc. etc. My wedding is in June and i haven't sent out my formal invites yet. STD was sent in Dec of 2011, so people know about the wedding. I really don't think people will book until March-April of this year. I do not expect people to respond immediately to RSVP (except people who have already told my FI and I that they have other things going on that weekend). I am the biggest procrastinator I know, but for a wedding I think I would be PUMPED to have an excuse to jetset anywhere. This all depends on your guests personalities I guess. Don't stress, anyone who is supposed to be there, will be. I am going to try and not to hold it against my friends that do not come, but it's going to show who my true friends are! I have a friend (big sister in my sorority) who lives in SINGAPORE, and she is 99% sure she will make it.

I think we are going with tungsten! Thanks for your input. Is the ring super heavy? I heard the material is heavier than platnium or gold?

When were you at the royal and the gran caribe? I have heard from several people that they do have music and games. Maybe it depends on your wedding party at the hotel. I guess they cater to what people want to do???

Thanks for your honest opinion of the caribe's rooftop terrace. I know that the green carpet isn't ideal, but that's they had available for Saturday evening. So I had to make do with what they had available. I also do not know how many people I will have attending the wedding. If I don't have enough people attending at the end of the day, I'll switch to semi private. I had to hold the space in case I have 35+ people. The green carpet isnt goregous, but I am hoping the sunset during cocktail hour will grab more attention than the green carpet. I heard the view is goregous up there. I wish I saw a brides pics who had heir reception on the rooftop terrace.

i still hope there will be some entertainment at the pool (loud side) that will be fun and engaging for my guests. I don't want to just lay at the pool all day because I get bored really easily. A little party atmosphere wouldn't be bad. I just don't need people screaming constantly and taking body shots off of each other. I love beach volleyball, and other games during the day on the beach or by the pool. What about the Caribe side? Is the pool much more exciting over there?

I borrowed the idea from another bride on here! Still a work in progress though...

ALSO easy to get to! Playa was another hour + driver expense for my guests. I wanted something that people could do in a long weekend without much effort.

I really don't think the Royal caters to teens or spring breakers...I know when I was that age there was no way I could afford the Royal for my vacation... I know my Aunt was kind of like "CANCUNNNNN? REALLY??", but I wanted a place that catered to a lot of different types of people, great hotels and service (heard horrible things about DOM REP), and plus I think Mexican food is amazing! There was no way we or our guests could afford this type of hotel in TUrks and Cac or BVII. I wanted it to be tropical, but still be affordable to my guests.
