  1. Does anyone know how many people sit at each table? We are only having 25-30 people so I'm wondering how many tables we will have and if we need to do table numbers or just have the name cards set at each place?
  2. Love the hanger ideas! I'm thinking of doing those for the mother of bride and mother of the groom too!
  3. Great ideas on here! I'm definitely doing bags, will also probably include cute bridesmaid hangers I found on ETSY
  4. Love this and am going to borrow this list too! thank you!
  5. Great ideas! I'm going to be starting on these soon and needed some inspiration!
  6. I was worried about that too, but I think that it'll be enough time. My photographer is going with me during the day, will get pics of me and my bridesmaids before- probably sneak over and get some of the guys before the ceremony starts, Have him do his family ones before and me do mine...then after ceremony, combined family, combined bridal party, and Just US...it'll be quick, but when I was thinking of having a local wedding I remember there only being about 45 minutes between ceremony and reception to do it anyways....I think it'll work out. We are also not seeing each other before the wedding For those of you that did maracas and added tags- did you give the WC the tags to put on the maracas and did you make the tags or order? The ones that say "shake at the kiss" I know I can order maracas through the wedding coordinator, just wasn't sure how that got assembled. Also, I know this was on here somewhere- anyone do the video??? Or have a sample?
  7. YAY!!!! I knew it would be amazing and everything would workout!!! I cannot wait to see your pictures and read your full review!!!! :) :
  8. Adventurelover- I look forward to your review! I hope that she makes it your dream wedding and I'm sure it will be! I did meet her and she seemed with it, but I have not seen her do a wedding and Kelley was there when I met her. I would agree with Kya- I would call. I know even with Kelley before I went on vacation I emailed her 10 times asking when my hair trial would be because I was making my plans for vacation and finally picked up the phone and she answered immediately and I thought, dang that was easy! I wish I could help you on the slide show, I'm not doing one so I don't know- although I thought it would be cool to do a slide show on the boat ride over for the guests, not sure if they can do that either. Anyways, I would try to call first and hopefully a past bride who did a slide show will chime in. I realized I sent her my responses to something a few weeks ago and didn't hear back so I actually just sent her an email that said, please confirm you received my information- just to make sure I have the right address as well!
  9. adventurelovers- Is Dennise still not responding? Or has she been in contact with you and just not responding on this item?
  10. I did my site inspection early in October because we were on vacation and had never been to Caletas...All we did was walk the site, she showed us where everything was, you will be there the entire day and in my opinion if you have been there you could skip it- you are there ALL day, inspection took about 30 min and then we hung out at the beach with tourists....
  11. Kya- good points. I know Dennise is the second coordinator- I met her and yeah they have 2 now!!! Yay for them! Not sure when Kelley is leaving either, all I know is she sent me an email Friday introducing Dennise (even though I met her in October) and said to reply to both of them with my responses so that's why I figured she was still there, who knows though. I think both coordinators will be working the weddings, but one will do the main corresponding with the brides and they are split up- that's what Kelley told me when I was there in October. On another note, I have a question for everyone- Boutonniere's- are all your groomsman wearing one? What about the dad's? Did anyone do flowers or boutonniere's for the mom's? Thanks!
  12. Adventure Lovers- I'm sure she will get back to you, Kelley emailed me Friday and cc Dennise introducing her and getting me started, I did email back right away and haven't heard anything. I was there in October and met with both of them, and what I gathered is they know what they are doing. If you sent the email wanting it, they will do it, and may not confirm every detail but I would assume unless they say it's a problem they are working on planning it out for you. It's hard to plan this far away. I literally sat with them for 30 minutes at Caletas and Kelley said, believe it or not with the info you just told us we could do your entire wedding without contacting you again. Obviously they are and are going through all the planning forms with me as planned. And not that it takes more importance over your wedding, Dennise is also getting married at Caletas in January- I think Kelley will be helping out until then, or at least that's what i gathered again when I was there in October and met both of them. I'm really type A so if I wasn't getting a response I would email her and cc Kelley, she's still there so it wouldn't hurt if you are that worried. Just have faith it'll all work out. It'll be an amazing day!
  13. I did a trial with Joel when I was there in October. He used airbrush with airbrush tools- it held all night at rhythms of the night during 100% humidity and me sweating like CRAZY and it will not be humid in January. I am SOOO picky and I looked amazing- I can't wait for them to do hair/makeup for me in March. I posted a pic a few pages back of my trial. I would say yes get your hair and make up done- you'll be happy when you see your pics later. I just don't want to stress about doing my own and I want to be pampered.
  14. Kat- I had Kelley set it up for me when I was down there in October! Just contact her she will set it up for you!!!
  15. Ali! It sounds amazing! SOOO glad you liked Joel! I loved him for my trial when I went there on vacation last month!!!! Can't wait to see your pictures and CONGRATS! Loved the dock thing- did they put you in one of the small boats and take you out there???
  16. Congrats Ali! It will be an amazing wedding!!!! I did use Joel for my hair and makeup trial when I was on vacation and I can assure you he is GOOD! I'm picky! Have an amazing wedding!!!
  17. Not sure if you were asking about my dress for desinger, but my dress is by Maggie Sottero- I think it may be Sottero and Midgley, it's the adore rose- I'm removing the shoulder strap.
  18. Thank you Allie- I felt kind of guilty ruining the designers idea with taking the strap off, but it works and it makes the dress perfect for me!
  19. How far in advance are you sending your invitations? When I was at Las Caletas with Kelley a few weeks ago for my vacation she said I should for my ease of mind send my invites in November and ask for RSVP by Jan 15th (wedding date March 31) she said it's a long RSVP period but if I send them in December they might get mixed with guests Christmas/Holiday cards- what are your timelines for invites? I sent the save the dates in June with travel agent info....
  20. Here is a picture of my dress- just came in two weeks ago! Before planning the destination wedding I was having a wedding locally and fell in love with the Adore dress by maggie Sottero.....so when it was time to dress shop for the destination wedding, I wanted something different, but loved the Adore. So I tried on the Adore Rose, and loved everything except it wasn't strapless which I wanted. So we are removing the strap and I get the best of both worlds. the flowers, the shape of the adore, and a strapless sweetheart dress! Still needs alterations, strap officially removed etc...I LOVE IT!
  21. Hey Kya- thanks for the compliments! It was Joels (I think I spelt it right) salon in downtown Puerto Vallarta. They had a nail station set up in the salon, but I have not idea if they are good or not...I didn't try the nails. I know a lot of the resorts offer Nails and Pedicures- I'm planning on doing a pedicure the day before the wedding at the Dreams where we are staying, but I have acrylic nails so I'm thinking if I get them filled before I leave they will be okay. I was REALLY nervous to have the makeup done, but I think they did a good job- I did not show them a picture of makeup- i told them I wanted my eyes to pop for pictures, but I wanted a natural look and not too much makeup. The guy doing the hair didn't speak a lot of English but the guy doing make up did and translated for me and it was fine because I had a picture of the hair.
