  1. Vane23, another good thing about buildings 4 & 5 is that they are attached to the main resort building where the spa, casino, lounge, bar and most restaurants are located. They're not as close to the beach as other buildings but, in my opinion, the distance is not that bad.
  2. These are all lovely! I just ordered mine from http://www.allurementsbyrebecca.com/ Can't wait to see the final product!
  3. Great job mom! Love the meticulous attention to detail. Those program fans are amazing and the desing of the table numbers and menus are spectacular! Kudos to you
  4. Great reviews on the different Registry websites, these really helped.
  5. I've been on the fence about a honeymoon registry but I think I'm going to go for it!
  6. Hi Toya, The wedding coordinator at The Hard Rock informed me that you can ship decorations directly to the resort but it is not recommended. The Customs Departments in Punta Cana is very strict and could seize your package. The resort is not responsible for claiming items at Customs, so your package could be stuck there and potentially lost. In addition, if you ship a large amount of the same item, Customs may think it's for business and you may be taxed on it. In other words, don't do it. I don't want to run the risk so I'm planning to ask my family to help me take all the things I'm taking to the resort in their luggage. As far as the outdoor reception, the event has to end by 10:30am.
  7. Hi ladies, I will be visiting the Hard Rock this weekend for a site inspection. Since we all have a lot of questions about our weddings, let me know if there are any questions you'd like me to ask the wedding coordinator for you.

  9. Beachbride, so sorry to hear that. I've made all my arrangements directly through the hotel's wedding department. They were able to block the rooms farely quick, all I had to do was pay for my hotel stay to guarantee the room block. Hope this helps. Good luck!
  10. Thanks for starting this thread GCD! I had the same questions, good to know I'm not the only with this issue.
  11. Thanks Gina, I'm going to check out the FB page now. Congrats on booking your wedding date! I'm doing my site inspection in August and can't wait either, so excited!
  12. Coconoir, I'm LOVING your website! Great Job
  13. @ JJ512: OMG sooooooo excited! Maybe I'll see you once we're there. I'm arriving at the hotel on the Wednesday before the wedding. Can't wait! @ Breann, I'm having a reception there in one of the rooms they have available inside. I'm expecting to have between 80-100 guests so I figured it would be better to have a private function. I'm hoping to get the free private function they offer which would definitely save me some $$$. I'm sure the dinner they offer for 35 people shouwork out really nice though because they have a lot of restaurants and maybe you'll be able to go to the hotel's night club after dinner *hopefully the club will be open by then*, that is if your guests would like to go to a club. I completely understand where you're coming from though, as far as spending money on a package. The private function is only for 2 hours, after that you have to pay extra so it can add up when you can go to any restaurant in the resort without paying anything extra.
  14. Breann, Have you tried calling the resort directly? I called and asked to be transferred to the wedding department and they answered some questions I had.
