  1. OMG, these are amazing! I'm going to have to steal some of your ideas, I hope they turn out as great as yours!!!
  2. I'm having a symbolic ceremony. The civil ceremony seemed to be too much of a hassle. You need to get documents translated, pay additional fees, etc... Even the hotel WC's recommend the symbolic option.
  3. Hi Vinarum, I selected the Sapphire collection too! Are you using the blue huppah fabric that is included or did you decide to upgrade to the shear/chiffon option? I was thinking of upgrading but don't think it's worth the additional $650 they were trying to charge.
  4. WOW! I love your bags! Love the "share your photos" card idea and everything you included in the bags. Thanks for the price breakdown and all the templates. Your guests are going to LOVE the bags!
  5. Toya, I usually email, but sometimes I call if I see that it's taking a while to get a response or if I have a quick question. Try calling the hotel's main number and ask them to transfer you to the wedding department. Give your info to whoever answers in Weddings and have them look up the WC that was assigned to your wedding. Good luck!
  6. Yay! Can't wait to see you I'm sure everything will turn out amazing! In terms of my wedding, I plan to do a welcome dinner the night before the wedding in one of the outdoor terraces. I picked the sapphire collection for the ceremony which will be at the beach. I'm also planning a cocktail hour and reception after the ceremony. I'm expecting between 60 - 80 people and I can't believe I'm almost 2 months away!!!! I spent so much time planning and gathering pictures online of what I wanted this past year and yet now that I'm finally coordinating everything with the onsite WC is that it actually feels real. See you in PC!
  7. Vane, do you plan on having unlimited events? If so, then the tables, chairs, glasses, etc... are included. They have a limited selection of complimentary linen. The available colors for table cloths are white and ivory only. Here is a pic of the available colors for napkins and overlays: If you want any other colors or a special type of linen, you'd have to pay extra.
  8. Toya, You could give your guests two options and have them choose before hand. Then you could let the hotel know who will be eating what. This would also entail for you to do assigned seating which could get complicated. The other option is for you to choose two entrees from the menu for all your guests. So everyone gets two main courses which are served on the same plate. That's what I chose to do. The only thing is that there are so many menu options that it could be hard to narrow it down just to two. By the way, have you tried contacting your on site WC? Your wedding is only 1 week after mine so you should be able to speak with someone in the hotel already. Hope this helps. 9. Tatiana, I'm so excited for you! Can't wait to hear all the details of your trip. Great idea on getting a local wedding planner
  10. Hi JJ512, My wedding is at the Hard Rock on May 12th!!! I'll probably see you around. I had the same issue where my onsite WC had not contacted me. About two weeks ago I called the hotel directly, requested to be transfered to the wedding dept and explained the situation. They looked up my wedding details and let me know the name of the WC that had been assigned to my wedding. I was transfered to her and we've been in contact by phone and email ever since. I suggest that you try calling the hotel and see how it goes. Hope this helps!
  11. My flower girl dresses are from The Little Pea Boutique @ Etsy, I think they are so adorable. The dress below is shown in black but she's making it in navy for me to match my wedding colors (navy and pink). I just love this look, my 2 nieces are going to look gorgeous in it.
  12. Congratulations!!! So excited for you. That's where I'm planning to go for my honeymoon, it's a gorgeous place and that beach is amazing! Have you visited the hotel before or will your wedding be the first time you go?
  13. R and K, I hadn't heard of the rock the boat tour but it sounds like something my guests and I would definitely enjoy. I'm going to look into it. Thanks for letting us know about it!
  14. Just heard back about the price for the upgraded fabric for the huppah. The shear fabric will cost $650. I'm thinking of just keeping the one that's offered with the package. Don't think the additional cost is worth it.
  15. Hi Vane, I plan to go through the resort. They currently use Creative Punta Cana and Caribbean Celebrations. I'll choose the company that best suits my needs. I also plan to bring some of my own decorations. My onsite WC just informed me that there is no set-up fee because they do not set-up anything for you! I would have to do it myself or have one of my guests do it for me. Don't know how I feel about that but it shouldn't be too bad since I'm not taking a lot of things. It will probably be some candles and the table linen for the reception. I may have to ask my bridesmaids to help me with this.
  16. Vinarum, I called the wedding department at the hotel and explained that my wedding was in May but had not yet heard from my WC. They looked up my wedding info and gave me the name and contact info of the WC that had already been assigned to work on my wedding. It was very easy, I was transferred to her and we started talking right away about the wedding plans.
  17. Samantha, Thank you so much for this post, you don't know how much I needed to hear that. I started the 30 day shred and let it go. I came up if every excuse in the book not to work out even though it's only 20 MINUTES!!!! I'm so getting back on track.
  18. So I've been communicating with Jacqueline, my onsite WC, and I must say that I am very happy with her. She replies promptly and so far has answered all my questions. Regarding unlimited events, she mentioned that there is no limit to the length of time of the event. The only time limitations apply to outdoor events not being able to be past 11pm and indoor events past 12am. If you are having an indoor private function and wish to have it past 12am, you can do so at an additional charge. The new photography company is definitely Smile Market. The wedding collection I selected was the Sapphire, which includes a huppah covered with blue fabric. The fabric included in the collection is a solid color not the shear fabric that was shown on their website and power point presentations. The shear fabric is an upgrade so it appears that I'll be paying extra for this. Once Jacqueline lets me know the cost of this upgrade I will let you guys know.
