  2. Thanks! Glad they look good in person. I live in heels too. I didn't have a particular preference for sandals or pumps, as long as they had a killer heel.

  6. Finally decided to buy the Badgley Mischka Humbie II today.... I've been looking for six months and finally just needed to move on something. There aren't many places to look for nice shoes where I live, and it's hard to really tell what things look like online... but I jumped. I did order from Zappos though, so if I don't like them I'm not out anything. Fingers crossed!!

  8. I'm actually getting married a couple months earlier at home, and then doing the blessing in Jamaica. But I've decided I'm not really considering myself married until Jamaica. We're actually not telling anyone but the parents that we're doing it early (for a few reasons it will just work out best for us). But I won't be changing my name until after we get back and everyone knows we're married. LOL. So complicated. But we had always planned on getting married in our home state first, since it was my fiance's requirement. He wanted to get married on US soil. So I just said whatever, ok. Haha. Kind of wish we were doing traditional and our wedding was just.... our actual wedding, BUT we don't seem to do anything the way you're "supposed" to.

  10. You do not have to rent out a restaurant to have your dance on the beach.... you'd just need the DJ, if you want some music for that dancing. I'm doing the dance on the beach with a bonfire, and along with the bonfire you get a bar on the beach (you pay per person for each person over 15) for an hour. Past brides have said that this bonfire usually lasts a couple of hours though, and that if you tip the bartender he will usually stay. I can't remember the costs for this off the top of my head, but if you wanted to know I'm sure either I or someone else could find it for you!

  12. This is the biggest picture I could find. I bought this dress a week ago from Ideeli for $60 (with shipping!). I'm still waiting for it to come. I'm not sure if I will love it or not, but if not, I can just return! For that price, it was worth the try. I already have my wedding dress, but this would be mainly for dancing later in the night.
  13. As far as invites, we decided on only doing the STDs. We were going to do actual invites, but everybody who is coming already knows and is already booked, so I figure, why add something else to my list and budget?? I'm just going to send information packets closer to wedding time.

  15. Ugh, so gotta love all the different answers the WC's give. I emailed Nicole (Suites) to ask 1) What the actual cost was for the photographer the day of (vendor fee), 2) If I had to pay a vendor fee to have flowers dropped off from an outside florist, and 3) If I had to pay for my makeup artist (Rashel) to come and leave afterwards. I know others have answered these questions, but just wanted it in writing. So in response, Tiffany answered that 1) the vendor fee is just the $100 dollars, 2) I do not have to pay a vendor fee for an outside florist, 3) but she did answer that I have to pay the $100 to have Rashel come and leave. I know other's have said they don't charge as long as she's not staying. Kind of frustrating. Wonder if they even really read the questions sometimes! It's hard to really nail down a budget with that confusion. I'm sure it'll all go fine when the time comes and they probably won't charge, but I was hoping to get that in writing....

  18. Here are the ones I made my friend. They're pretty simple, but she told me what she wanted and I made it... so they're to her specifications. I did necklaces and bracelets for her and her daughter. Here are some of the ideas we played around with. (Different ideas on right and left sides on some). The Bridesmaids dresses were orange.
