  1. Krysta, Your guests can book at either the Suites or Beach. People who stay at the Suites can come and go to the Beach and restaurants as they please, but those from the Beach can't travel freely to the Suites restaurants, etc. For your wedding you will have to get a pass for the Beach guests that will last from the time of ceremony until the reception is over. This is $30 per person, and children under 12 are free. Hope that all makes sense!
  2. Erin, I want to know this too!!! It was one of the things we were looking for in a site, and somehow along the way it was forgotten. I haven't heard or seen anything about it at Iberostar...
  3. I haven't gotten that far but that is a good thing to know! If only I could control the wind.... We will be staying at the Suites because we have kids, but we'll be arriving on your wedding day... ours will be on the 6th- probably on the Suites terrace. It just seems surreal to talk to someone ahead of time who will be there at the same time! Too cool!
  4. I've been debating the same thing. I think I'm going to go with the terrace since we won't have to worry about other people in our shots anywhere, and because the wind in all beach shots seems to be such a problem. But my decor would probably be the same either place, and if yours would too you could always change your mind when you got there. Since there's only one wedding per day you don't have to worry about someone taking the other locations.
  5. Bree, How did you do the curled/waved ribbon that you used for chair and huppa decor? I LOVED them!!!! Was it a special kind of ribbon or did you have to do something to them? Thanks!
  6. Hi all! I've been making jewelry for quite a while, and have quite an arsenal of beads and accessories. I made the jewelry for the bride and bridesmaids at my best friend's wedding this last fall as well. I will also be making the jewelry for my bridesmaids. I had a site on Etsy.com, but it just got to be too much to keep up with my full time job. If anyone needs ideas or help with anything while making their own jewelry, I'd love to help! My favorite website to use for beads, etc. is firemountaingems.com.
  7. I am using destinationweddings.com and so far am pretty happy. I liked the info that they would send me on each different resort. I have Ed Bruns as a wedding specialist and he gets back to me within a couple hours to no more than a day. He has been great. I have figured out that I need to ask the right questions and I will get what I need. The only thing about them is that you don't get access to any great deals out there on the internet, you just get slightly better than what the resort website specifies. I am not worried about this though, because I feel that Ed will provide good service to my guests and help them with anything they need. I think with this company, it really depends on who you get as a consultant!!!!
  8. LOVE the 2nd one with the flower!!! Make sure you use super glue at any knots or crimps.
  9. I'm getting married December 6th, and have yet to try on dresses, but long before being engaged I fell in love with Maggie Sottero! I LOVE her use of draping- almost everything she makes is amazing!!! What blows my mind is that the designer I fell in love with is actually sold where I live in North Dakota. That's beyond luck! I'll be scheduling an appointment soon to go try on dresses next month. Can't wait!!!!
  10. Wendy, I'm very curious how your sand ceremony container survived when you traveled back? Did it get all mixed up or if it's full enough does it stay put? Anyone else who has any info on this, please respond! I'd like to do a sand ceremony and have our 5 year old daughter hold the container that we pour our sand into.
  11. Hi everyone, Just wanted to let you know that I have the 2011 rates for everything, and they are all the same as the 2010. The only differences are the change to Tai Flora as the florist and the addition of having a bonfire on the beach or a "fire dancer" on the 'Services with Extra Charge' sheet.
  12. Hello ladies!!! I was absolutely ECSTATIC to find this website and thread. We recently decided on the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, and are still confirming a date in early December 2011. We're working with someone from destinationweddings.com. We are so excited!!! I have a feeling this thread is going to be an awesome resource. Nice to meet you all! Kim
