  1. I'm so excited! I wanted Del Sol, but its just too far out of my price range. This is perfect!
  2. I love the pics and the resort is beautiful, but then, that may just be Del Sol's talent shining
  3. I think that the lagoon actually sounds nice. I bet it provides for some interesting pictures other than the typical beach stuff
  4. I'm looking at the same. I was going to get table runners and anything easily packable that I could bring with. I read somewhere on this site that there are walmarts around, so you could feasibly get small items like tea candles and votives there and use them at the resort. You'll have to get creative, but if it can be packed flat then its an option!
  5. Sun palace is adults only http://www.palaceresorts.com/resorts/sunpalace;jsessionid=B7B31D081155001D8D473AA0DDB4BCCC.portal1
  6. It is definitely a difficult thing to choose one of the hundred of resorts. I fell in love with Beach Palace and it just felt right and the price wasn't exorbitant. One with just click in your mind and you'll know its the right one.
  7. where is he based? Is he actually from Palace resorts or is he an outside person
  8. Its a little expensive isn't it? I can see how it would be fine if your only sending out a dozen or so, but for 150 that's just not going to work for me :/
  9. This resort gives me goose bumps. I just love it so much. I'm going for a visit in march and if we like it as much then we'll book. Its just GEORGOUS
  10. I guess I dont entirely understand what this means for guests of these resorts. does this change anything at all or is it merely a name change?
  11. for those of you currently booked with Palace Resorts, have thing been going well in your dealings with them? I'm looking at a June 2012 wedding and we were going to book on our resort viewing in March. I'm concerned about anything happening since we are booking so far in advance
  12. Those photos are immensely helpful Steph. Playacar Palace's photos on their site do not do the resort justice. My only qualm with this resort is that it looks more bland compared to the others. We are also planning on staying 10 nights and I wonder if we'd get bored more quickly at this spot, but I guess its convenience location to the town would help that. Did you feel that the lack of dining options was a deterrent?
  13. I've heard that Moon Palace is most definitely a wedding factory, especially in the high season. Some of the smaller palace resorts don't have this issue because they aren't churning out dozens of weddings at a time. They definitely have it down to a science, but as long as you aren't offended by the impersonal nature of this, then its fine. I love the amenities and perks of the Palace resorts, so I'm just looking toward one of the smaller ones like Playacar Palace or Beach Palace.
  14. I love the proximity of this resort to the town, but the photos of it are so boring and basic. I wonder if the resort isn't as nice as the others. I go down in March, but until then I'm just so torn as to which resort to use
  15. good to know. I don't want to pay the exorbitant prices they charge to add this sort of stuff to receptions.
  16. wow that was weird. I think I'm going to move forward with my wedding at Palace resorts in 2012. Most people's experiences are glowing.
  17. beautiful! I'm interested to hear how it all turns out. I'm still hesitant to jump into the knock off sphere
  18. Yah, I feel the same. Its nice to see what other people are figuring into their budgets. Everyone's priorities are different though
  19. Its very difficult to choose between all of these palace resorts. I think I'm further confusing myself
  20. Do any of you know the ease of going from cove to spa side of the resort?
  21. I'm so inlove with this resort. I can't wait to see it in march!
  22. I am anxious to hear what they do for 2011. Our wedding is in June 2012 and we are going to Beach Palace for a site visit in March. The biggest selling point to our guests (other then us getting married lol!) is the $1500 to do what activities they want. I REALLY hope they keep it going or do something better.
  23. Thanks for the review! Ever since hearing how Moon Place is pretty much a wedding factory, I've been having 2nd thoughts, but I love how neat and simple the Palace resorts look so I had hopes that Beach Palace may be more personal.
  24. Our wedding isn't until June 2012. I've been doing tons of research, but the Palace resorts have that great perk of the $1500 in resort credit to use toward activities and all of the reviews have been very positive. I'll check out the 2 you suggested now, so thank you.
