  1. Girl Nicole's crazy...1 pm is too late, considering you have to go first, then your mom, your maid of honor and your bridesmaids. Our ceremony will be at 4:30 and I was planning on starting my hair no later than 11:30 am.
  2. The hotel provides artificial flowers for the chuppah. Does anyone have a picture of what they look like?
  3. Yes they are! Now I'm considering them for my centerpiece and parts of my bouquet too!
  4. Definitely good to know. Thanks for posting ladies!
  5. Silly question but can someone tell me what these type of flowers are called? I like this arrangement. Thanks.
  6. Our resort planner is alright so far. I won't have much contact with her until 2 months away from our wedding - apparently that's their policy. I know what you mean regarding trying to plan things online. Things like florists I would love to meet in person and decide what we like, but we're going to do the best we can with providing examples of what we want etc.
  7. My fiance and I are also staying at the Suites for 6 days (our wedding is on Sept 9, checking in Sept. 6-11), and then we're going to honeymoon in Negril at one of the Couples Resorts. Haven't decided which one yet. Perhaps you too should consider getting away from the Montego Bay area once you marry. Negril is very secluded and intimate. Perfect honeymoon getaway!
  8. This is such good news to hear!! Thanks for the info - definitely going to Old Navy!
  9. Is anyone else using a third color with their orange and aqua? I wanted to add a lime green but not sure where I should fit it in. Any suggestions?
  10. Hey my fellow Sept brides...how is your planning going?? What are you working on this month? What vendors have you booked? We booked our photographer, and we're in the midst of asking for a quote from the florist.
  11. Thanks Ms.Smith - I'm going to email your vendor and see what she can do for me!
  12. Does anyone remember what page the measurements for the fabric for the chuppah is on or can someone provide the measurements? Thanks.
  13. Very nice!! Awe I can't wait to start working on mine. Today I'm going to buy some stuff for our OOT bags. Are you going to post any templates? I really like the layout of your Tribune letter as well as your packing list. Thanks! Tiffany
  14. I need some feedback from my fellow IRHS future brides on here regarding flowers. I'm torn between real flowers and real touch flowers. Like many of you, I'm sure you want a nice pretty bouquet and flowers for the bridal party for cheap. I do as well. However, I've seen some nice real touch flowers that look amazing, but then a part of me is torn because I feel it's my wedding day and that I should have real flowers only. I'm half and half. What are most of you ladies thinking of/doing? Are you using Tai Flora for everything or are you considering using real touch flowers? And if so from where? My main concern is how good the real touch flowers would look in pictures. I don't want tacky flowers, so that's why a big part of me is team real flowers. I don't want my fiance and I to pay an arm and a legs for flowers for our bridal party, please centerpieces - it all adds up! Ugh - what to do? If there are any past brides who used real touch instead of real flowers, how was that experience? Or if there are any brides that used both real touch and natural how was that? Did you get real flowers for yourself and real touch for your bridal party?
  15. Princess can you tell me a website where I can order lanterns and LED lights from? Appreciate it!
  16. Would you happen to know if the tables at Calabash are round or square? (the other restaurants too)
  17. Thanks for your reply. I spoke about it with my fiance and we read through the documents that Nicole provides to all brides and I do know that the ceremony in JA is legal. So I'm not going to stress. I am going to email Nicole just to make sure there are no hidden surprises and that everything is legit.
  18. For the brides that were recently married at IRHS did you have your ceremony at home at city hall before you had the big event in Jamaica? I just got off the phone with my mother, and she's telling me to go to city hall here in the states first. But in my opinion, if we did that, then the marriage event in Jamaica would become be a renewal of the vow ceremony. I don't want that. I want the first time we say "I do" to be the first and last time. I guess my mom's worried that being that we're getting married in the islands, the marriage license/certificate will be fake lol. Let me know guys! Thanks.
  19. I like your crossword with the pic of you and your hubby. Is there a template that you have that I can tweak to add my hubby and I and tailor the crossword puzzle to us?
