  1. yes, there is a lot of jumping. if you're upstairs, your neighbors will definitely hear it. you could take out the jumps, but there's still tons of jogging in place, jumping jacks, and other moves that would make noise for someone down below. maybe you can schedule your workouts while they're not at home (or just agree it's going to be a bit loud for an hour a day). the dvds are expensive, but I got a bootleg copy off craigslist for $50. some of the bonus dvds don't work, but that doesn't interfere with the planned workout. (note: I didn't know this was bootlegged at the time, as it came shrinkwrapped and looked exactly like the original. the seller told me it was on sale because the Asylum was coming out soon, so they were selling Insanity for less through certain retailers). anyhow, I'd check craigslist, especially for originals that people aren't using. congrats on your progress at the gym!! I think this will help you shed the rest no problem, although you may want to do it closer to March (say January start) so you won't be worried about maintaining. best of luck.
  2. oh! oh! it's my FAQ! : ) thanks! www.jdandkellyswedding.weebly.com and I think our dates will overlap! our wedding is on 5/5, and we're staying through 5/11 (though leaving that day, so we'll unfortunately miss yours.) but I'd love to catch up with you while we're there - we'll be on the honeymoon part then. : )
  3. simple move for the lower abs - lie on your back on the floor, raise your legs to 90 degrees, then hike your feet up to the ceiling and lift your butt off the floor while you do it. then return to 90 degrees. repeat. LOVE that one - feels pretty easy but great for strengthening lower abs.

  5. oh no, there's no gimmick. you work your a$$ off. literally. ; ) like you, I almost died during the first fit test. I seriously thought I was going to pass out. just wait until you retest in after week 2 - it will be a completely different story!! I wouldn't worry about missing a day here or there. as long as you just stick with it, you won't believe the results. I started at about 5' 4" 120 lbs and lost an inch in most places (waist, hips, thighs). it definitely hurts so good, but the results are soooooo worth it! : ) keep us posted with your progress - best of luck shredding! ; ) ps - when's your next fitting?
  6. it's good that you're excited!! and you might be tired after the first week or so, but you'll have so much energy when you wake up in the morning, you'll be amazed. I don't know that anyone has done 5 days on, 2 days off, but I imagine your results would still be really good, especially if you're doing the meal plan (or just eating really well). I've said it before, but within the first two weeks, there was a HUGE difference. everything after that was refinement and strength, so don't be surprised if it happens fast. I want to do it again, but I don't want to burn myself out before next May. it was soooo great when my clothes were fitting loose. : ) I miss that!
  7. I'd definitely call and ask. : ) you can always ask, and they can always say no. but maybe... ; )
  8. they really are, and comfy, too. I think they'd be perfect for going out (especially the fuscia ones - sooo cute!) and for only $50, I think it's totally worth it. ; )
  9. they've got higher discounts if you buy a few more (63 total to get the pre-discount price above $500). I wonder if they'd give you 25% off? did you try calling them?
  10. how comfortable are they? I'd just worry the leather sole wouldn't have much give.
  11. me too! and shipping was so cheap at $5 for 12 bags. amazing deal - thank you again!! : )
  12. good to know. I also found these Cool Off towelettes on Amazon. some people complained about the odor, whereas others didn't mind. for $10, it might be worthwhile to try: http://www.amazon.com/Cool-Off-Citrus-Towelette-24-Count/dp/B003IU8KLU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319125580&sr=8-1
  13. AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!! those pics were taken at the Excellence Riviera Cancun! here's a lovely slide show by del Sol (be sure to check out #s 3, 10): http://delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=196 and here's the forum link: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/excellence-riviera-cancun-luxury-adults-only-all-inclusive best of luck with your decision. let us know where you decide to have the wedding! : )
  14. can you make out the name in the lower right-hand corner of the picture? looks like X xx Xxx Photography. because of the water, I'm thinking Caribbean, and the location seems like it'd be something on the Riviera Maya (e.g. non-Cancun with hotels all around). and the palapas make me think Mexico, but I did take a quick look at the Sandals stuff, and it doesn't resemble anything there. nor did I find any similar images in Google. where in the forum did you find the photo?
  15. oh! ps - I got my bags yesterday. they're great! I think the quality is excellent (especially at $2/bag). my only concern is they may be a bit too large. I think I'll solve that by bundling our smaller items together, and the good part is that people will be able to put towels in them. ultimately, that's sort of the point of a beach bag. ; ) one more thing - the 'teal' is actually the ocean blue color pictured. I thought it was the greenish-looking one, but it's the blue. again, no problem at all, just a surprise. all the colors are pretty dark - one is a maroon and the other is forest green. the teal is a true blue, but only the teal is available on the site.
  16. what about getting a double frame so that the table number would be to one side of a photo of (you and?) your grandparents? also, with a smaller collection of flowers, have you checked with a local florist on pricing? I wouldn't think it'd be too expensive, depending on the number of tables. I hear a lot of good things about Marvin @ Maya Diseno.
  17. yes, chiffon absolutely. it's that light, blow-y, ocean-y fabric. I LOVE it. BUT, you've got to go with the dress you like best, regardless of fabric. I knew I didn't want anything heavy, so that put me right into the chiffon group and from there it was easy. ; ) best of luck on the search!
  18. I freaking love Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. it is THE funniest, most laugh-out-loud book I've ever read - the only downside is I'm not sure if it has relevance to your wedding. when I go on vacation, I like to read cheesy girly novels, like Something Borrowed, Something Blue (or anything Emily Giffin). her series of books are wedding/baby themed with good girl drama. I think anything you can pick up in the airport bookstore are usually awesome. Last Night at Chateau Marmont was good, perfect for anyone in a relationship (her b/f becomes famous practically overnight and she's dealing with the aftermath). I'm currently reading the Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell. that may be appropriate for the 18 year old because it's about Carrie's (Sex and the City Carrie) time in high school. finally got around to reading the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and total meh. didn't think it was anything special. classically overdone whodunit. what if you bought them all different books? the latest and greatest for the avid reader, the David Sedaris one for your mom, etc? I think they'd really like how you thought of them individually and bought them each something they'd like. but I think the most important part is that it's FUN. no one wants to be on an awesome beach vacation reading a total downer like We the Living by Ayn Rand or something. ; ) there are always magazines, too. I think my mom (total non-reader) would much prefer that to a book. let me know what you decide! I think reading material is a great idea!
  19. those are cute! another bride recently posted these jute bags - in case you'd like something in teal (or a bag with a message): http://www.onebagatatime.com/shop/bags.html?cat=24 the cool part is they are 100% biodegradeable, so you could plant them in your composting pile when you were done with them - like the sun chips bag! crazy, right?? (my fiance is an environmental science teacher - he loves this stuff ; ). happy shopping!
  20. hey, I sent a PM. I'm interested in 15 - 20 clear luggage tags. I'm assuming this includes straps as well? please let me know if that will work. thanks!
  21. they do have those classes and used to do daily yoga sessions in the gazebo. I think they also have a pilates thing, but my assumption is they use staff instructors. several are sports coaches.
