I wanted to do the same thing. But isnt it a buffet style type of deal with the Moon Palace? If so, then how are going to provide food options? I am only asking because I wanted to also do the same thing, but figured if it's buffet then it's kind of a eat what's there type of deal.

Hi there! Would you please tell me how you created your logo and iron on? Did you grab it from a website? I am going to order my canvas bags from cheap totes. I had planned on having our logo professionally printed on the bags. But after reading some threads and being on a budget, I am really interested in creating my own iron on. How did yours turn out? Thanks!

By what I read on other threads, Moon Palace DJ is way over priced and not very good. I think they charge about $1,400 for 3 hours. That's ridiculous! You can do an ipod and rent the MP's equipment (i.e speakers, microphone, etc) and assign someone at your wedding to be in charge of the music for you. It's the last thing you want to worry about on your beautiful day. Check out some other threads on the MP DJ.

WOW, so basically they will if you're spending more money?? That is not right! My wedding is in Apirl and I also dont expect people to book until after January. People have to get their finances and life in order after the holidays. That is normal! Very frusterating. Keep us posted. I'm going to double-email my on-site WC and again make sure she has my spots confirmed.

Do you have old emails that you can refer to? Showing an exchange with you and your WC, reserving your ceremony spot?? If so then I would use those to help you get what you want. Don't give up. Put up a fight and don't take no for an answer. I am sorry to hear this!! I've emailed my WC about 3 times, making sure she has my ceremony and reception spots reserved. I save all her emails. Each time she comes back and says "yes, it's been reserved since 7/10/10".

Hi there.. Yes, it's a 12.00 per person set up fee. I have a picture of it, but from what I hear the pictures does the terrace no justice. Vgirl is a friend of mine. I spoke to her the other night and she said it's one of the best places to have a reception at the Moon Palace. She has stayed at the Moon Palace 3 times. It looks over the beach and infinity pool. I asked my WC how far of a walk is it from the Tucan gazebo to the Carribean Terrace. She it's about 3 minutes. So, it's close. I was sure to reserve these spots based on the recommendation of Vgirl, when I decided to get married at MP. She knows her stuff! PM me if you want the picture of the terrace.

Hi CynLovesLuis, The Moon Palace sent me their policy and it's insane! So, it does look like they allow outside DJ's however their FEE'S to do this are ridiculous!! I've been in contact with another bride that just had her wedding at the Moon Palace about 2 weeks ago. She said there are ways to get around the fees, but you just have to be stern. I showed her the policy that my WC sent me and she said that must be new because all she paid the Moon Palace was a flat fee of $250.00. PM me and I'll send you the email exchange between the bride and myself. She was so helpfull with her responses.

I booked Juan Navarro for my wedding on 4/30/2011. I just saw juljensen photos and they are beautiful. I have some concern because Juan will not be able to photograph my wedding. He will be sending his associate Tony Rues. Juan guarantee's Tony's work. I've read some good and not so great reviews about his associates. Unfortunately I read the not so good ones after I booked. I thought I really researched it too before booking. Did you have any experience with his associates??

Hi.. I'm getting married on 4/30/2011 and I have Juan Navarro booked. The only down fall is Juan will not be taking the photos personally, however his colleague Tony will be photographing our wedding. Juan guarantees his work but after reading some reviews about his associates, well I'm starting to have some concern. Had anyone dealt with his associate Tony Rues? Has anyone recently dealt with Juan Navarro? When I booked him 2 months ago, I had not come across any bad reviews until lately. They are not super bad reviews but some brides have stated that his pictures are just "ok".

Hi.. I am also getting married at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun on 4/30/2011. They seem to tell people different things because my wedding coordinator told me that I'll have to purchase a room for 1 night, if I decide to bring in my own photographer. I havent booked my outside photographer a room yet. I'm going to look more into possibly buying them a day pass. Cgeris - Please let me know what the Moon Palace tells you! Thank you!

Hello.. I'm getting married at the Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico on 4/30/2011. I've got some amazing reviews on DJ Mannia. I know that the Moon Palace does not allow outside vendors unless they are staying at the resort. Has anyone had any experience with bringing in their own DJ at the Moon Palace??

Thank you for all the information! I just sent DJ Mannia an email. I hope he is availalbe for my wedding in April 2011. I'm on his site now and can't stop dancing!!
