I didnt hear about this but it is very interesting... but we are flying with AirTransat - dont know if this makes a difference or not?! We have 1 kid going but it would be interesting to find out. I would say when I booked it was in effect so I plan for this promotion to be offered to me or Ill be looking for alternative flights...I guess it helps sometimes to be rude. I had something similar with AirTransat...they were not going to offer us anything as a group which made me VERY angry as we have 42 people. I emailed them and said what can you do for us as SunWing does this and they emailed me stuff they will do....interesting eh! haha

thanks again for posting all that info as I am sure we all have the same questions! I emailed her last week and she already emailed me back! wahoo! I asked if we are having the free wedding package if we need to put down a 25% deposit for the rest of the stuff (gazebo, additional 20 for dinner, additional flowers, etc) and she said it would be due when we meet with her when we get there...so good to know for the rest of you also going with the free package I am still wanting to know dinner options for the Grill and Italian as I was going to make menu's from Vistaprint before we leave. I guess I will worry about it closer to the time...thats the problem with being anal retentive! haha

SOOO helpful! I think from the pictures too that the rectabgular tables that there are 4 on each side..so really tables of 8. Now to just get a sample menu for both...do any of you lovely ladies have it?

We booked in April 2010, my TA told me to email Beverly and she sent me and email saying "they are offering it as a continued promotion until 2011". My TA said she is very sure that they will carry it over until 2011, but told me that its fine when I told her we wanted it for our May 3rd wedding. Are any others going with the free package?

Grill is on the Left - all white and Italian is with the wicker chairs. Correct me if I am wrong...I think I saw on here somewhere that you could only book the grill or italian for the wedding reception and not the gourmet or jap??

Yeah I emailed her yesterday after I had a mini freak out! lol. I emailed her and told her that we wanted to Gazebo and I have the confirmation email that we have it. She has never asked me for a deposit and neither has my TA...wonder if its because we are doing the free wedding package. Ill let you know when I hear anything...

congrads!! I love hearing all the wedding stories on here...sounds like your day was perfect My question is..when did you decide your restaurant - did you have to let Beverly know before? and what were your options to eat at for the Grill restaurant as thats the one I am leaning towards.

I was leaning towards the Italian restaurant as I thought they would have something to please everyone, plus all the reviews on Trip Advisor etc says its awesome. My TA also said that it is very close to the water. However, when I saw the pics I thought the grill was sooo much nicers. Does anyone have the dinner choices yet for the restaurants...if not I might email Beverly so we can all compare. Also Tris - you already told Beverly where you want to eat? I emailed her and she said I could only book 2 weeks in advance. Also, we havent given her any money yet...now I am starting to freak out that I am not booked! lol.

haha! I was actually thinking of the same thing as I dont want to bring a lot down. I found this pic awhile back and fell in love with it. I dont see why you wouldnt walk around a collect stuff, I plan on getting shells...

They sent me their package and I have it saved in my email, so if you want it PM me your addy and I'll send it to you. I felt they were pricey and didnt have what I wanted...they were ALL roses and I am not a rose person, in my email to them I even stated no roses...lol I am still waiting to hear back from the garden place...but so far to me Jan's is best!

Things have been going well...but it seems like there is still a lot to do for some reason. A couple of weeks ago we sent out our first newsletter after everyone booked to give them more info, and we also got our BM dresses. Also, while I was home my MOH and mom threw a suprise pampered chef shower for me that was a total suprise and amazing! Still waiting on my dress and the favours to come in but thats about it....just seems like little things now. I am currently looking into flowers as everything I have seen all has roses which I dont want, so we will see! I really under estimated how much work it would be to plan a wedding a do schooling and work full time all at once...I keep dreaming of laying on the beach with a cold drink in my hand! lol We fly in on the 30th so maybe we will see eachother in passing. How are things going with you?

FutureJohson, We booked a year in advance but we needed a certain week as I am in between semesters for school, and they had rates then. Maybe wait a couple more weeks an inquire. I would book sooner than later so you are not disapointed. We are with a travel agent from Guelph (like 1 hour from Toronto but will travel anywhere to help) who is a destination wedding specialist and her niece got married at GBJ so I would highly recommend her. PM me if your interested in her details...she has litetally done everything for me so far and I have no worries, I ask her a question and she is back to me in like 5 min and if she doesnt know she contacts Beverly right away and I have my answer back by the end of the day, because as you have heard on here she isnt the easiest to get along with, further she contacts me every few weeks to see if she can help and to see what else is going on...like I sad she is AMAZING!!! and I would highly recommend her!!
