  1. Congratulations! You must be soooo excited! Can't wait to see your pictures and hear all about it! Have the best time!
  2. Here is my ring. Sorry it's blurry, it's hard take a picture myself. FI designed it himself. The center is 3.06 cushion cut with a pave band. I can't stop staring at it!
  3. Congratulations on your engagement! I can't wait to hear about your visits You will find so many helpful threads on here! Happy planning!
  4. @ KittenHeart, what dress did you have them make or did you send in a picture? Thanks! Quote: Originally Posted by KittenHeart Jo - Your dress looks amazing!! The train on your dress is so dramatic too, it's amazing! I love Duosheng, that was one of the best choices I made getting my TTD dress made there
  5. It sounds like we are all in the same waiting and wishing boat I am really hoping to keep it around $1,500 per person for all of their expenses. Is this realistic??
  6. This is such a cute idea! I'm going to have to use this! Thanks!
  7. These look great! I swear that more of you need to make money from your creativity. I just don't have the DIY gene. I've tried, but turn to Etsy, etc.
  8. I would go with Dad...I have a similar situation and I think that it would crush my step fathers heart if I said anything but that.
  9. We are around $5,500+ travel, but figured that this is both on our priority list so it wasn't too shocking. It's really important to have a good connection with the photographer, and once you find a strong one, it's hard to go back. Big chunk of money, but it's pretty much the only thing you WILL have from your wedding in 50 years.
  10. Congratulations! This forum is so helpful, you will love it!
  11. Welcome and congratulations! This is such a fun forum to be a part of! Everyone is really helpful and you will find so many great ideas. Have fun!
  12. I am! I would love to talk to you about this! There are only a few of out there! I hope your planning is going well and maybe we can bounce some info around
  13. Does anyone have a map with Rosewood Mayakoba on it? I can't seem to find one.
  14. I think I'm behind all you of ladies We are Feb. 2011, but are having an interesting time settling on the date. It will be in the middle two weeks, we are trying to use the holiday in our favor so that the guests can have an extra day off. Which means, we haven't sent the STD, but I did order hand painted wooden maracas and am including a boarding pass STD. We haven't looked at invites, yet, but I did start ordering some OOT bag goodies. I haven't found a dress yet, but haven't looked that much. We have choses Rosewood Mayakoba as our wedding resort, but have not chosen the AI that our guests will stay at. (RM is really expensive and not AI) For those of you that have booked your guests, what are they paying and what resort has their prices out yet? Am I way behind? Yikes. I better get in gear!
  15. Congratulations! Once you figure out how to use this forum, you will be in heaven! Everyone is very helpful and has so much useful information to share. Have fun!

  17. Welcome to the forum! I prefer to have a custom wedding at a resort that only allows one wedding per day. I like that my ideas are heard and like communication back and forth. Good luck! This forum will be a great resource to you!
  18. WOW! I was going to try to make these, but took the easy way out and hired someone. I couldn't be this creative. Good job and congratulations!
  19. I am getting married at Rosewood Mayakoba, they only do one per day. That was something that I was interested in as well It is a really beautiful property and I have heard amazing things about it. I'm going there in April for a site visit if you are interested in feedback. Good luck!
  20. While so many of our friends and family are excited that we decided to have a destination wedding, the other half keep telling us the dangers of Mexico lately! I understand that there are risks, but there are risks everywhere- all over the US! I don't know how to respond, other than the usual, we hope you support us, it's our day, etc. but some people are really pushing our buttons about this. Has anyone else had to deal with this that much? Does anyone want to share their opinion, am I missing something??
