  1. Hello ladies!!! I have my first fitting at Pronovias this weekend. I was wondering if any of you know of a great tailor in the city. I am hoping and have all of my toes and fingers crossed to slide into my dress and not need any major alterations. I know I will need a bustle though. If all I need is a bustle, I can't justify paying almost $600 just for a bustle!!! If I can find a GOOD tailor and pay half of that I am game. Any suggestions?

I saw your wedding date and I was like "she is REALLY addicted to this site, it's her wedding date as of midnight and she is on BDW" then I realized its you one year mark UNTIL your wedding.. Congrats..only 364 more days to go

But either way it felt and looks great. You WILL feel the same way!!! It's kinda magical But nothing, I'm sure, will be like your wedding day! Congrats to you and good luck with your first fitting...you'll be beautiful! Thank you so much for those reassuring words. I HEART your wedding date..that's my birthday!!! I am sure you were a knockout in your dress.
  4. Here is the resort map. I am including one in my OOT bags for guests. Attachment 4311 DreamsResortMap.pdf

Am I a jerk for being concerned about this?? Aww I am sorry that you are feeling down. You should not feel like a jerk for wanting to have things finalized so close to your big day. The WC should feel like the jerk for not doing her job! I had the same problem in the beginning of the planning process. It seems that there is a team of WC at most of the resorts. I called after having none of my emails or phone calls returned (for 3 weeks straight) and I was connected to another coordinator after letting the person who answered the phone know that I was trying to plan a wedding at the resort, but I had not been successful. THey changed my coordinator and it has been wonderful ever since. I say all tht to say maybe you can call and find out if there is someone else who could help you. You never know you could greatly reduce your stress level with one phone call.
  6. OK, I go for my first dress fitting at Pronovias on Saturday. I keep having nightmares that I will 1. not fit into the dress 2. hate the dress after not seeing it for so long. I am super nervous!!!! I am praying that all goes well. I have banned all honeybuns from the house until after February!
  7. OK, you gotta love www.vistaprint.com seriously, how do they stay in business? I received my free postcards that will go in my OOT bags for guests to mail back home. I will place 5 in each bag. Not bad for FREE

    Hello

Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum. I am sure you will have all of your questions answered by the wonderful women on this forum! Happy planning
  10. I will wear wedges, I won't post a pic because I am embarrased about spending that much on shoes!! I am a real shoe whore though..couldn't help it. Also, I will have a runner to walk down the aisle on so I won't sink on the way to my honey. Your resort probably has something that you can walk on if you have your heart set on wearing heels, ask your WC. Good luck with your decision.

I was trying to, but I didn't get it right. I was all patting myself on my back thinking I did it right and then I saw your post, funny. THanks so much!!

Once we get started here there is no stopping us. Congrats on the wedding and being in double digits! Whew hooooo, don't tease me! I would love to. You just let me know when we can stalk each other . My hair dresser is coming to the wedding and offered to do my hair for the wedding, but she also said she would not "charge me that much to do my bridal party" what's up with that?! she could have offered her services for free as my wedding present wishful thinking, I know.
  14. I am a true insomniac these days. I stay on this forum and on various websites trying to make sure I am not forgetting anything and it is exhausting but fun at the same time. I don't know what I will do after the wedding is actually over . I will still stalk you ladies. Fair warning

  16. Funny thread. It's true, I wouldn't want a bunch of gifts with someone elses name on it, but the reason of giving SOME of the gifts is so that people will remember your day. I will definitely have some monogrammed items, but they will be balanced out with items that will be practical for the guests as well.
  17. It looks great. I am going to try my luck there this weekend. I spent so much on the wedding gown, trying not to break the bank for the TTD dress! I like your wedding gown also. Good job!

Thanks!! I am worried, I have not been to the gym in almost 3 weeks, but I have a high matabolism..so I am hoping it stays high and I can fit into the dress without any additional alterations. I had a great experience at Pronovias and with Carmel. Pronovias had an evening gown sale a few weeks after I bought my wedding dress. I went in and the girls at the desk remembered me from when I bought my gown. They let Carmel know I was in the store and she came to my fitting room and made sure I was ok. She found more dresses for me to try on and made sure I got a better discount than what was being offered to other women in the store she kept referring to me as "her bride" to other consultants and she remembered specific details about my mom (she was with me on the day I found the dress) Overall GREAT Pronovias experience!!!

I think I might place my order today! I have a small confession though, I am a little scared to touch starfish..shhh don't tell anyone. It's the craziest thing..I know lol.

I actually looked at some diamond ear rings yesterday at the mall. I am really liking that idea. I could even wear them for the wedding... maybe not.. I want dangling bling.lol I think I am going to try the local "Shoppers Drug Mart" they apparently do make up applications for free here. My gfriend told me that the one closest to me has a really awesome girl there has done her makeup a couple for times. My one gfriend never goes through the door without looking polished to the 9's. I'll see what this gal can come up with. Have a great day ladies... stay outta trouble Dangly bling...I knew I liked you for a reason . Yes, that would be a more practical gift. I am sure you would get a LOT more use out of them than a fur coat. You have a great day as well.
  21. I decided to add a lounge area during my reception, I like 2 of 4 furniture choices provided by my WC. I like number one because it has a real beach lounge feel to it. The problem is that I also like number 2. I like number 2 because it is the type of furniture I love to fall asleep on. It looks like it belongs in someones living room, but it does look comfy! I wouldn't want the guest falling asleep though...:/. Which lounge furniture would you choose?
