I say go for the diamonds, but if you're not going to be comfortable with it then you may not want to wear it. Go with what you'll be comfortable with.

We'll probably just stay longer at the same resort we're getting married in, or go to another one on the same island (haven't decided yet). On our one year anniversary we're planning on going to Thailand. I've always wanted to go and NEED to get there before we have kids...lol!

Are you guys send out your std without actually booking the resort first? I've been in contact with the WC at the resort I want to get married at and she's told me that they're not booking for 2011, and hasn't responded as to when that would be. She's just told me that she'll let me know when that time comes. I really want to send out std's asap (booking for jan 2011), but I'm hesitant to do that without actually booking a date yet. What do you think?

I'm planning to get married in January 2011 but I just heard back from the resort that I've chosen that I can't book the date right now cause they're not booking for that year yet. I may have to wait till spring 2010 to actually book. My dilemma is that I wanted to send out my STD's in January 2010. I'm just not sure what to do. Do I send out the STD's with the week that I have picked (FI thinks this may be risky because we might not be able to get a date that week but I don't think that'll be an issue), or do I wait and send them out once I've actually booked the date? Thanks for your help!

I also heard back from Lori...very exciting! Unfortunately I can't book a date for Jan 2011 yet, will have to wait until they start booking for that year

Zuzelh...thanks so much for your review. It's so reassuring to here that things go as planned when you're down there! Did you tell anyone that you got married back home before leaving? You have me thinking of doing that now, especially since it's a lot cheaper! I've also tried contacting the WC a couple of times in the last few weeks, and I got an initial email back from Nina. She sent me the information about the different wedding packages. Now I'm trying to confirm an actual date and I haven't heard anything. I know a couple of you guys are having the same issue. If you do finally hear from Nina, can you please post what worked...email or phone?

I've seen many different things, including: - the dj brings in a big dice and every side is an action that the person rolling has to act out - someone (or an entire table) has to sing a song with the word 'love' in it - answering questions (that the mc has prepared) about the couple getting married - playing with a hula hoop and making sure you keep it going for at least longer than 5 sec hope this gives you some ideas!

I'm getting married in Jan 2011, in talks now with the wedding coordinator at the Grand Palladium Jamaica to set a date. My TA is looking into prices for that time of year, but I think I'm just going to pick a week (once the day is booked) and send out my STD magnets!

I love them! Did you guys do them yourselves? Where did you get the kit, paper, supplies etc? That's exactly the type of invitation I'm looking for.

If you have a MAC you can have beautiful photobooks made and ordered through iphoto...definitely worth the cost!
