  2. yes, sometimes. it is something you should look into... and they are tons of fun.
  3. it is a party that your wedding party or you (the bride and groom) throw before your wedding. There are games played and prizes to be won. Most of the time the couple ends at the night with a couple thousand dollars. It is something traditionally done in ontario canada. You guys might do something similar. a jack n jill?
  4. haha! ya. My first shower was this past sat. And it was fantastic. but when everyone was ooohhhing and awwing! I was going Oh! so you were the one who got this, and so on. haha! It was kinda funny! it certainly didnt stop the surprise factor which is good. because you dont know who it is coming from
  5. Hi everyone! I was surprised by one of our groomsmen on this monday that passed. He came over on lunch and surprised us with the news that his wonderful girlfriend and himself are pitching in the money for a hall, the food, and the booze etc so that my FI and I can have a stag and doe. I am soooo excited! The only thing is, with everyone in the wedding party already spending so much on the trip (and now are awesome friends footing the bill for the party) would it be to tacky for us not to purchase prizes and just make each game a 50/50. so like if we do the gold fish racing and each person bets on their fish, at the end the winner takes home 1/2 the pot. Is that ok? None of us have the money to go out and purchase things like a wii, or wii fit, or anything else to raffle off. But i dont want to look cheap or tacky. Any thoughts?
  6. Hi everyone, I was just wondering, am I the only bride who is obsessed with looking on the registry and seeing what we got? My first bridal shower is tomorrow, and it is killiing me! I cant go a few hours without going online to see what was purchased. haha! and my fiance (james) keeps telling me to stop cheating and just wait till the parties to see what is purchased. I just cant! haha! I am almost as bad as I am with this website.
  7. I totally agree. I want to see what our resort has for us that is included in our package before i spend any more money on the same thing that can be done for us for free.
  8. Hi Cindy, congrats on your up coming wedding. I am getting married at the RIU as well this coming november. I am just going to use the services from the resort, when it comes to the wedding coordinator. But i out sourced our photographer. I cant wait to hear more about your planning, and good luck!
  9. I am doing this as well. I had found the idea previously in a martha stewart magazine. the dw issue. I am so glad you posted this though. I think you can put your own countries stamp on it though. I am from canada, and i had to send an invite to the states and I was told for the rsvp to put a canadian stamp on it. but I am going to look into it further.
  10. thanks for the review. to bad we cant see pictures. congrats on everything.

  13. I work out in the mornings. That way I havent just worked all day, and I can shower and get dressed after. Though there are a few days a week where I come home and work out after work too (just so that I dont have to get up to early) And in order to do the after work workout I just come home and do it. dont sit down and start to relax or start doing your chores, you will never do your workout. Plus think about how much better you will feel and look after you did it and after your wedding when you see all your hardwork in the pictures! That is my modivation. Good luck!
