  7. In my opinion I think it is abosutely hillarious. I mean I don't know if I would say it's wrong but it's definetly different and I think I could say that majority of us bride to be's would never consider it. And if the minister did this, i'm guessing it was okay but he probably was NOT happy about it!
  8. You for me Johnny Gills I don't know if I'll walk down the aisle to this song but I really want to some how play it during the ceremony
  9. omg... these are hysterical!!! haaha i'm dying okay so my pet peeve... my FI is in LOVE with his subaru wrx and thinks everyone in the world should drive a subaru. Anyways, when we're in the car and a Subaru drives by he'll wave!!!! SERIOUSLY! And more than half the time they dont wave back and then he says "what a loser" And i'm thinking really? whos the loser? First I was like okay maybe it's a phase...but its not. So everytime I spot a Subaru before him I try to distract him.
  10. hey ladies soo can I just say microdermabrasion is amazing!!!!! best thing I've ever done for my skin. It's kinda pricey though $125 per month but my skin looks perfect when its finished (after the pealing of course) I've done three treatments, and I'm gonna get another one probably in late april early may before the wedding in june. I also use epiduo which works wonders... no break outs!
  11. I did!! 4 miles in 30 min whoohoo!!!! Okay so I have a serious question ladies! Has anyone ever tried slendertone abs stimulator (i thnk thats what its called) I woke up at like three in the morning to an infomercial and I was like this is AWESOME... and I woke my FI up to show him and he was like seriously? it's a gimic! Soo I'm just wondering if anyone tried it because I really wanna get one now!

  13. Hey Crystal, I completely understand and know where your coming from. Even when I thought I found the dress that was "the one" AND ordered it I wanted to try on other dresses after because I was so unsure. This is definetly normal and I'm pretty sure 90% of us brides to be goes through this. Just remember something maybe you love the dress enough to buy it. I think at your next fitting just throw the right shoes on, hair up (or down), and a little make up and THEN take a look. I think you will Love it again! And at the end of the day... if you still feel your not happy with it... I say do exactly what you feel will make you the happiest on the one of the best days ever!! Either way... everyone is gonna think you look beautiful.. ESPECIALLY your FI! Good Luck

Time is ticking! I only have 2 months and 2 weeks!!! Good luck... definetly fill us in on how it goes... and takes alot of pictures! 2 months and 2 weeks!!... are you freakin out yet?!?!?

I am seriously the happiest bride to be ever and the only stress that I have now is the occasional family member or bridesmaids drama and Maureen is always right there to help me through it I honestly feel like planning a wedding is the best thing ever at this point... and before I discovered this site and Maureen... I didn't even want to get married. We were literally 2 steps away from the point where my FI and I were like lets just call it off and go to the court house. I've never met her and I feel like she's closer to me than anyone besides my FI. I can't tell everyone enough how important it is to have someone who KNOWS what their doing in this planning process to the one of the biggest moments of your lives. And it also makes a world of a difference to have someone whose actually been there before and has your back through everything.
  17. thanks Carly! Wow how the heck did I miss this thread!?!? It looks like i'm not the only one!
  18. Okay... so I supressed this anger with this company for a while because it was upsetting to even talk about them but I'm over it now and I need to do my part in warning people. I'm sure EVERYONES experience was not as bad as mine and i'm sure some have had great weddings with them BUT my expereince was awful! So first, I was assigned an agent who really knew nothing about anything I asked and it ended up being me looking up everything... asking her... and still getting wrong info and thats when I actually could get her to respond to me which she NEVER did. She even told me that I shouldnt book my resort/wedding until a few months in advance and I was very early in the planning process (this was back in June 09 and I was planning on getting married in June 10) So I brushed it off and assumed she must've been super busy with other weddings that were closer. I spoke with the manager who gave me a new agent. At first she was nice very helpful (this was back when I didn't know this site existed and didn't do my homework on resorts) I wanted ocho rios and the resort had to be children friendly so she said Beaches was the best place and I said great and gave her my deposit. (stupid i know) Now Beaches sent her a confirmation with their WC's name at that same time of my deposit (this was June/July). After I put the deposit down she RARELY talked to me or responded to my questions. Then in September I found this site!! And realized I shouldve been doing some planning so I asked her questions about beaches like location and ceremony sites etc and she said I should ask Beaches WC.... I didnt even KNOW i had a wc at beaches because she never sent me the info that beaches was supposed to send me. I know that because when she finally sent it, it was dated the day I paid my deposit and addressed to me and my FI. I WAS SOO MAD... anyways after a complete breakdown and finally discovering ALL the extra costs... I found a new TA and switched resorts..... BUT it took me about 3 months to get my deposit back after a BUNCH of hassle, letters, countless phone calls daily, untill finally I had to get the legal dept at my job involved to take care of it. It was seriously the worse experience of my life.

  20. Hello! Welcome to an amazing site! You will honestly be soo happy you are choosing a destination wedding.... i mean vacation and wedding in one.... what more could you ask for. You'll find tons of useful info on here and tons of helpful people. Soo have funn planning!
  21. Dont worry... just relax. Since you don't think your fried would do a good job as an MOH do you think your sister would? If so I think you should go with her because I don't think anyone including your close friend would be offended if you chose your sister instead. If you don't think she'll do a good job either than I think thats fine for you too go with all BM. Is it a small or big wedding?

The lady I brought them to embroider does work for the company that I'm at and I have a working relationship with her. She did give me a bit of a deal, but I don't think embroidery is as expensive as you think it is, especially if you have someone do it locally. We decided to do the towels because a) we're not having a lot of people and we're not doing OOT bags or anything else, so we thought this would be a nice gesture. However, I don't think this is the way to go if you're having a lot of guests or if you can't find a good deal. If you can find a way to have these done at a reasonable price then I would totally go for it, otherwise I would save the money. thanks for the info... i really really appreciate it. Yea that is a really good deal. I looked around but I can't find any embroider places around here and we have over 20ppl coming sooo I'm just gonna scrap the towel idea... But now I have TONS of other ideas soo its okay!
